Added - only our second time ordering from Joey's - you know, it's fine, but not great - both the fries and especially the fish. Who likes soggy coating on fish?

Last night we attended a kid's birthday party. Dh got food poisoning from the Caesar salad, I was fine because I didn't eat any salad.
Tobight's supper was HH lasagne, boiled mixed veggies and a glass of milk.

Ribs are cooking right now to make broth for soup before it gets too hot - I'll finish the soup off before suppertime - it will have onions, barley, corn, peas, carrots, beans, cauliflower, potatoes, celery, cabbage, noodles - full-meal deal. Usually that's enough for us to eat, but we can always have leftovers or sandwiches if it isn't.
I make a huge pot, so there's enough for us for two days at least, plus our son loves it, so we send some home with him as well.

Went to town for an early dinner. Halibut and chips with their home made Cole slaw. It sure was delicious and hit the spot.

Nachos with Meat, couldn't decide if we were going to go out or not so dinner was last minute.

Tonight we are having bison rub steak with fresh fried mushrooms, garden pease, yellow garden zucchini, a glass of milk, and I'm not sure what else.

Tonight we had ceaser salad with nachos. Ribs are in oven for tomorrow nights dinner. Will serve with fries and corn on the cob. Just have to BBQ the ribs at dinner time tomorrow night.

I am still stuffed and had trouble sleeping ( probably why I woke up before 5 a.m. ) DH made mild Italian sausages with sauteed onions, mashed spuds and pork 'n beans for dinner last night. Should not have piled up my plate, but that sort of comfort meal I am such a sucker for. Sigh.....back to salads for Sunday I think.

Last night it was grilled pork chops, fresh yellow beans with butter, baby potatoes, and 2 heirloom tomatoes which i picked up at the local Farmers Market yesterday morning. One of the tomatoes was red and long like a green Pepper. Not acidy at all. The other one was yellow but not like the regular yellow tomatoes that i know.
Today, im roasting a chicken (i know, i know; i must be nuts using the oven in this heat, but we have central air), orange, red and yellow carrots that i picked up at the Farmers Market, baby potatoes, and two more heirloom tomatoes. One is greenish all the way through and the other is brownish, purplish, redish (if that makes any sense) and what i was told was a serpent cucumber (looks like an english cucumber only longer and is curved and knobbly and has something that looks like white lines (dont know how to describe it). Got that at the Farmers Market also. These vegies are from an all organic farm in the area that specializes in heirloom vegies.

Have been marinating back ribs for a day, they will go on the BBQ; roasted potato wedges and carrots; coleslaw.

three of us went to see Suicide Squad ( which despite what those crazy critics say IT WAS great!! ) and I had soaked beans the night before but after the movie DH and I went for a swim, so.......I started making chili at 11:00 p.m. It is done now and yummy but no way I am eating a bowl before I sleep.

I ate so bad all weekend..and A LOT!! lol..several poutine & hamburgers , etc...the festival was a huge success...I had fish & brewis, seafood chowder...today will be a BBQ and salad :)

Hot sausages on a bun with sauerkraut, potato salad and a beer, Dw will have wine.

Casserole - ground beef with sauce from roma tomatoes, onions, celery, garlic, spices/herbs; Sidekicks rice (not bad, first time having it), baked beans. corn off the cob for me.

Chicken stir fry with lots of bean sprouts, Broccoli and garlic beef and steamed rice. Ice cream sandwich for dessert.

A volunteer cancelled that was supposed to run the canteen for bingo tonight at our local legion, so I'm now doing it for my first time. I came as soon as my last daycare kid was picked up and left Dh at home with our young children. I ate leftovers. 1/2 a bison steak, fried mushrooms, and a little speghettini. I packed a little snack to go. I'll be hungry when I get home tonight.
