my mom made vegetarian noodle soup and grilled lemongrass beef patties; one of my younger sister's friends is a Muslim who's visiting.
Tonight I ate kinda late, like 15 mins ago lol. I ordered a crustino shaved beef sandwich from toppers pizza. Oh man it's pretty good. With tangy bbq sauce, onions, peppers and mozza cheese. I had them add mushrooms for an extra .50 cents. Also got their cherry dessert pizza which are always good. I haven't had one of those in maybe a year. I forgot to take a picture of the sandwich but took one of the dessert pizza. I ate 2 pieces of it and put rest in the fridge. It's pizza dough with cherry pie filling, icing and a crumble.
Came home from work absolutely beat. I had the Walmart AAA Angus steak and some baked potatoes. That helped!
Oh I hear ya but I'm trying. It's supposed to be 6 servings so at least I only ate 2 servings. ;)
Last night I made Spaghetti with Meatballs, we had homemade meatballs in the freezer so just added a jar of marinara and some mushrooms and simmered to soften the meatballs. Also made a garlic bun.
We had Mexican again last night. Grilled Chicken, stuffed jalapenos, corn & black bean salad with cheese and mushroom quesadilla.

Finished filling the wontons for supper (gosh it takes forever), have to wait for husband to come home to fry them (I have a bum knee and can't stand to do it); will have with noodles.
This evening was a soup consisting of potatoe, kale, chorizo, herbs & spices, stock, onions.
we decided on a "light" dinner, so just fried tofu cubes and oyster sauce for dipping
BBQ pork ribs, cucumber slices, and potato salad. We were too full to eat the watermelon.
@Angela273 -did you know there is such a thing as watermelon pizza? Look up Longos.com >Recipes>Experience mag and click on the Summer 2016 issue for grilling instructions and toppings.
@cabmonk -good that you noticed when a food did not work for you. One of two books I read about tofu in diets indicated that something is done differently with soy foods in Japan than here in North America-a step in process or draining to remove something. Doing a search on soy and purines gives mixed answers (some sites say soy is low in purines and not an issue for gout while other sites say one must not have too much soy).
As for dinner tonight-I feel like having Lipton's chicken noodle soup and adding fresh ginger to it. Or maybe I'll just shake some matcha green tea with ginger (contains milk in the ingredient list; saw spice blend at Sobeys and decided to get it) into the soup.
Still had some frozen shrimp that was on sale a while ago so we will have shrimp scampi with pasta and the last of the fresh buns we brought back from Bracebridge
Grilled Pork Tenderloin tonight, just haven't decides on the sides.
