Yummy Green Chili Indian takeout-an early treat for Mother's Day. I skipped lunch so will really enjoy. Happy Mother's Day to all the other Mother's out there. I plan to go out for a drive in the mountains tomorrow. The weather is great and I hope to see some wildlife-from a safe distance of course. Last night I stayed up to see the Northern Lights but did not see them-will try again tonight.

Had a BBQ here with the kids on Sunday. The leg pain just got to me though a I was trying to be present at the dining table and while chatting after. Eventually I had to retreat to my basement lair and bed...lol Menu was scrumptious. Burgers, steak, dogs and chicken leg quarters. Sides were BBQ'd pineapple, bell peppers and Mexican street corn.

Hamburgers, corn on the cob, tomatoes and oranges. We are pretending it is summer even though it is quite cool out.

If I have the energy after washing and vacuuming the car in preparation for our trip I’m making chocolate chip bananas bread.

@harbie does that salad ever look delicious!! My guys are off today ( both DH and I had medical appointments ) so now they've headed off to do a quickie mini top up at FB. The sushi place is right next door, I know DS will order his giant platter of stuff. He always orders me a special 6-8 pieces of just the ones I like.
DH hates that stuff so he's hoping to get a Rotisserie chicken from the hot table. My job is to sit here and wait for the food to come home....bwahaha

Felt a bit energetic so making dinner ( my contribution to tonight ) Broiled up a dozen store bought freshly rolled meatballs ( large ones! ) and will add them to a batch of penne pasta with the spicy Classico sauce mixed in. Sauteed onions and red bell pepper to add more flavour. After that I will go back and lay down.....lol.

My brother in law ordered pizza and sent me home with 2 mediums. I'm sure it will be gone before dinner tomorrow night.

I cooked up some hamburger with onions and added rice and peas-quite tasty. And much cheaper than the $64 prime rib roast I saw first at the grocery store-that did not make it into my shopping basket!

@lizzie bargain Oh brother! a $64.00 Prime Rib roast? I'd pass on that scam too. Your ground beef mixture sounded delicious!
The guys have been taking in cold meals, sandwiches and salads and some raw veggies. Too hot at work apparently to entertain eating
a full course meat and potatoes dinner. Made my week easy!
