On August 11, 2009, the Canadian Duo, Lazybones has their CD Debut, Songs From Here, digitally offered through the fair-trade music website www.noisetrade.com.

It can be purchased with a “pay what you want” deal or (here's the best part...!!!) with the option of simply telling 5 friends about the duo.

As of today, there will be a free download of the song ‘Perfect Life’ (featuring Huey Lewis on Harmonica) on their website www.lazybones.ca.

Lazybones is streaming a new tune every week leading up to the August 11th release date on their Myspace page and so far they have 4 songs streamin'!!

How can you resist with such titles as: Perfect Life, Slowmotion, Live and Die part one and Santiago!!

We support Canadian business....what about Canadian music too??!!

I have a special note from Matt & Tim that i'd like to share with everyone.....

Hey, kinda of a lot in this post…CD release day so lots to share.

We have finally released our new CD ¨Songs from Here¨!! We really appreciate the support you’ve given us so far into the very new life of this project and hope you get as excited as we are about the new disc when you hear it. So as we have both been on different sides of the world promoting the tunes (Matt in Canada and Tim in Guatemala) the overwhelming response to our approach to the release of “Songs from Here” has been really cool…So here’s the deal, in our attempt to find a place where music is given directly to you and (hopefully) if you like it enough you are compelled to tell others- we are letting you decide how to get the album:

1.You can get it for FREE by simply telling 5 friends about us, or pay whatever you want through the Fair Trade music site www.noisetrade.com. You can access this from our website, myspace page or facebook group and you also have the option to download the widget and put it on your own networking sites so all your friends can preview and get the album as well.

2.You can also of course buy it on iTunes and pretty much any other online music store you can think of.

We will continue to give all of our proceeds of the download of Slowmotion to WarChild Canada, thank you to everybody who has made a donation so far. We look forward to hearing what everybody thinks of the album, in the meantime enjoy the tunes and feel free to spread the word. We have added the remaining 3 full songs from the album to our myspace page so you can preview all the tunes and decide if you’d like to own it.

On a music geek side note…it’s ironic, in the process of releasing this album and at the same time reading “Across The Great Divide-The Band And America” it’s interesting to think back to when Ronnie Hawkins who around I guess ‘58 or ‘59 (and had a young Levon Helm in his band) was building an audience simply by word of mouth-selling out clubs all over Ontario and into America. It was the community that had gathered around his music that made the industry come calling. Music and people first, industry second…pretty simple and old fashioned but such an organic way to get music to people. In 2009 we have the internet and social networking sites that can unite people all over the globe and only after about a month our friend Joanne has managed to gather almost 400 people in a lazybones facebook group-it’s really an amazing thing to watch unfold and we want to thank her very much for her early support of our music.
