    First of all, I want to thank all of the SCers who traded with me or generously donated these coupons. <?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=_x0000_t75 coordsize="21600,21600" o:spt="75" o:preferrelative="t" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f"><v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke><v:formulas><v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f></v:formulas><v:path o:extrusionok="f" gradientshapeok="t" o:connecttype="rect"></v:path><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:lock v:ext="edit" aspectratio="t"></o:lock></v:shapetype><v:shape id=_x0000_i1025 style="WIDTH: 12pt; HEIGHT: 12pt" type="#_x0000_t75" alt="0"><v:imagedata src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\KHPSTA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01\cli p_image001.gif" o:href="http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/images/smilies/biggrin.gif"></v:imagedata></v:shape><o:p></o:p>

As most of you know I recently had a volunteer from the Pomeranian and Small Breed Rescue of Hamilton come and pick up 125 lbs of dog/puppy food.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
I have been accumulating cat/kitten food for about the same amount of time.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    Recently I contacted a rescue in the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Toronto</st1:place></st1:City> area, but that didn't work out.<o:p></o:p>

I am going on vacation (well, to my mom's) for a week on Sunday. My sister works for the OSPCA and when I go up there each summer I always spend a portion of my time volunteering there. It's a rural shelter and they are always over capacity. The shelter is very small (read: one room, really). Well, I decided to donate the food to that OSPCA. My sister was surprised, but happy that SCers will be helping out all of the kittens and cats at her work.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Here's what *we* (meaning all of us) are donating:

I'm always open to trading for pet product coupons (especially free products and high value coupons) - I donate these items to shelters and rescue groups.

My kitty was a rescue cat as he was meowing under our step on a snowy new year's day. Great when people can take those poor critters in and give them a home. Thumbs up!!

I've always been careful with the save.ca coupons not to take ones I can't use (my beloved furball has to eat veterinarian diabetic food at $58/bag, to my chagrin!) but do you know if I request the ones they have, like Eukanuba $2 and $5 off for both dogs and cats, will they track who actually uses them?? I would *love* to request them and donate them!!

My Mom just got the perfect cat from a rescue. Totally well behaved potty trained - and a senior like my mom. They make a perfect pair. Excellent job and please keep up the good work.

Dinglehopper, I wish you lived in my area! We have a feral/stray cat group & are always in need of catfood! We're able to buy repackaged catfood thru a petstore with some of the funds we raise, but buy alot out of our own pockets to save the $$$ for our vet bills. Keep up the good work! We need more generous people like u!

That's awesome. We have a lot of homeless cats in the neighbourhood. There's about 4 houses on our street that feeds them (ours is one of them). Beginning last year, this brown cat, came and we decided to keep him. Then over the winter, we build what I call the cat condo in the backyard (against the house in front of basement window). So over the winter, it was home to over 6 - 9 cats. We get to feed them from the basement window. Currently the brown cat comes in and out of the house, I suspect a stray, then there's 2 other ones that is in the backyard most of the time except when they piss and ! This website has certainly opened my eyes at getting cheap and free food for the cats. And funny enough, after being among them for so long, I'm no longer allergic to cats. In the past, I would be sick for a week or 2 after being in closed quarters with a cat.

p.s. Who needs to go to Egypt when you can see the piramids on smartcanucks.ca
