So here is my day...or last 24 hrs
IsHaq who is 22 months old last night took a nice fall...lemme go back a little bit. We went to the park in the evening, some kids were there with buckets and shovels and my kids wanted to play with them. When they left they begged me for their own so I said ok let's go to No Frills grocery shopping and I am sure we will find some in the dollar section. So off we go. The little guy sees Minigo yogurt and freaks, its been a while since we bought em so fine we got a pack...then we find buckets and shovels they get em and the older guy picks out cupcakes to buy (yes they are making my bill bigger by the minute). So the little guy decides to open the yogurt at the store and use the shovel to eat it....doesn't work so fingers are easier. Get to the cash and the woman is like 'do you know these are open?' I said look at my sons face and she laughs. Ok so we get home...he sits at the table and continues to eat more yogurt and then realizes his brother has cupcakes...reaches over and falls into the table. His chin gets a nice hit and cut and some blood in the mouth but at this point I do not know where the blood is coming from and assume it is from the chin cut. The night goes on and eventually he sleeps but struggles all night. He wakes up with a huge fat lip and I realize he has this monster cut in his mouth (lower part of the lip I guess) and it looks pus-like. I call the pediatrician and see her right away but she says it is fine and no stitches needed just make sure he eats nothing acidic or spicy as it will hurt. The swelling has gone down he looks alittle better but anyone on facebook check out the poor guy, I posted the picture

Whew. Spent the afternoon till supper weeding the yard and getting all the billion sticks and branches out of the yard. The kids ran around and wore themselves out. Winter got a little baby tree at the Superstore and we planted it in the yard.
NSAngel -- Monet is ok now, still sick, but you can see a visible difference in her chest. She had a ton of fluid in her lung. I had to hold her down while they stuck a tube down her nose to drain it. That poor kid has had 8 chest x-rays since she was born and she's only 20 months old. She just has one lung that is a bit weaker than the other, and tends to infection in it. Hubby can't work, he's a PSW (nurses' assistant) and has to lift heavy people and wash/change them etc. It is all hands on. He has to go see the people at work to discuss how it will work out, since he is full-time now I think they might just give him "light duty" instead of laying him off for the four weeks it will take till the cast comes off. *sigh*
Amy -- Poor little guy! Mouth cuts hurt so much, and last for a while, but usually don't require stitches. The mouth just has an incredible aptitude at healing itself. When Winter had a big gash in her mouth we put wet washcloths in the freezer and let them get a bit firm, then she chewed on them. It made her feel a lot better.
I'm off to do more laundry, and clean out the fridge to see what we need from the grocery store. LURV ALL.

Thanks so much for the words!
Congrats to all the contest winners. Maybe I should try entering, although I never seem to win. Share your secrets, desperate spinsters wanna know.
Haunish - the puppy is adorable. Both my Lily dog & Quincy cat get hiccups once in a while, so unless it doesn't want to stop, I wouldn't worry about it. Keep things kinda low key for now for the puppy - she's had a lot of upheaval in her short life. When she gets a bit older (& has had her shots), take her out places to meet all kinds of people & dogs & cats, let her know the world isn't such a big scary place.
Amy - how is IsHaq now? Feeling better? Poor little guy.
Ricki - hope you feel better soon. At least you're off & can get some rest.
LOLCat - you seem to be having fun times too
. How is Monet? & how are you feeling these days?
Jettred - Good luck with the job hunting. Have you tried changing your resume around a bit to see if it helps?
Star - I can sympathize with poor Mollie, I don't like rain & neither does Lily dog. But, she absolutely loves thunderstorms - she runs to the window to watch the lightning (on summer days we get really creepy green skies over the lake). Quincy cat went from being afraid of thunder, to running to the window to see what all the fuss was about, back to being a coward after a loud clap of thunder in the middle of the night woke him from a sound sleep & sent him crashing into furniture (& us).
RTLady - sorry to hear about the garbage on your system (I can think of nothing better to do with these brats who come up with this nonsense than to lock them in a small room, covered in tuna juice, with my neighbour's bully of a cat).
RaceFan - wanna send your cats over to beat up my Lily dog? She'd be in heaven, she loves all cats.
Tick - I couldn't even get to the point I could enter the silly contest this morning, so you had better luck than me.
Hope everyone is doing well. I've got some silly running around to do tomorrow & Thursday, so not sure how much computer time I'll have. Don't worry, I will check in though.
Have a good night.

OMG what a cute dog.
Whoever that co-worker is give him a slap upside the head. I think he gave me his cold too. I hope you feel better soon.
I thought I was bad at not seeing things. You got your presents at Christmas time. LOL
BG - hope the guy's lip heals up soon
LOLCAT - hope Monet feels better soon (PS did I ever tell I love that name!!)
Thanks for the new words everyone.
So today is going to be one big long borrong day. We have an all staff meeting from 8 - 12 today so the managers can tell us what we already know. Then I have training from 1 -2:30, and I feel like crap. I would have called in sick except we are all expected to go and we have to sign in and all. GRRRRRR - I will probably take tomorrow off.
Have good days everyone.

i am so TICKED OFF with p&p again.
i donno if someone new took over over there or what, but words that are supposed to be good, aren't working. and this has gone on for weeks. am sick of it!!!
okay, if a word is supposed to expire like for instance hilson, button and bridewars expire today. they aren't working NOW. but probably was yesterday. so make sure you claim them before the day they are set to expire. i already emailed them and asked them (on words from weeks ago) if they should expire at the end of that day, and they din't say one way or other just reinstated the words. so i flipped off another email on those 3.
just make sure that you claim the words before the day they are set to expire! this messes me up bigtime.
its mostly the contest words that are screwed up.Last edited by NSangel; Wed, May 6th, 2009 at 07:15 AM.

Morning everyone...IsHaq is doing just fine thank you for all the concern. It is nice to see how everyone was worried and yet the warped mind of NS thought the story was funny
I'm kidding...it was a damn funny story even funnier to be around a kid using a shovel in the grocery store to eat. You would think we do not eat our kids...if you saw how chunky they were you would know that is such a joke.
