happy friday - an extra special day for those of us in the toronto
region
it's mel lastman's birthday



we have suffered through a ton of 'badboy' commercials
before mel became mayor of toronto,
he had been mayor of north york, then the toronto area
was amalgamated and lucky us - had a mayor mel.
we are still amused about when he called in the army for a snow
day!
however i do remember not being able to get the front
door open - went out the dining room door - 5 feet off the
ground, when i got to the bottom was up to my hip in snow.

took 45 minutes to get to the front door, only shovelled from
driveway to the door, and it's not a big house.
