Now I find that I have landed in reppin' jail & its cold & lonely in here,
At six I’ll ask the warden if I can please just have one beer,
I would have like to have done more reppin' but alas it cannot be,
But please don’t let that stop you from giving all your rep to me,
If I display good behavior & say nothing that is risqué,
They might release me early so I can continue on my way,
I hope that someone visits & brings me something tasty,
& help me put my plan in motion for an exit that is hasty,
When I come back I’ll rep you as I have done many times before,
Cause rep is just a way to thank all of you for keeping the rapport,
I think I appreciate your company more the wisdom you all provide,
Each & every post on here does help keep us in stride,
Consider this rhyme a thank you for always being there,
& if you have tips for surviving reppin’ jail I ask you please do share.

It was George the Mailman's last day on the job after 35 years of
carrying the mail through all kinds of weather to the same
neighbourhood. When he arrived at the first house on his route he
was greeted by the whole family there, who roundly and soundly
congratulated him and sent him on his way with a tidy gift
envelope.
At the second house they presented him with a box of fine cigars.
The folks at the third house handed him a selection of terrific
fishing lures.
At the fourth house he was met at the door by a strikingly
beautiful woman in a revealing negligee. She took him by the
hand, gently led him through the door (which she closed behind
him), and led him up the stairs to the bedroom where she blew his
mind with the most passionate love he had ever experienced.
When he'd had enough they went downstairs, where she fixed him a
giant breakfast: eggs, potatoes, ham, sausage, blueberry waffles,
and fresh- squeezed orange juice. When he was truly satisfied she
poured him a cup of steaming coffee. As she was pouring, he
noticed a dollar bill sticking out from under the cup's bottom
edge.
"All this was just too wonderful for words," he said, "but what's
the dollar for?"
"Well," she said, "last night, I told my husband that today would
be your last day, and that we should do something special for
you. I asked him what to give you. He said, 'Screw him. Give him a
dollar.' The breakfast was my idea."

Do you know there are many songs all about Saturday?
Lonely ballads, songs of romance & some doo wop along the way,
One More Saturday Night, is a tune by The Grateful Dead,
The Carpenters sang a song called Saturday, but it wasn’t a hit widespread,
One of Chicago’s biggest hits was Saturday in the Park,
& Elton John said Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting probably after dark,
Cat Stevens once had nobody on Another Saturday Night,
& King Crimson had a Book of Saturday, another tune about plight,
David Bowie’s Drive-In Saturday was on the album Aladdin Sane,
& Same Old Saturday Night by’ ole blue eyes’ goes well with champagne,
Louisiana Saturday Night by Alabama is schmaltzy & kinda twangy,
& Saturday Night by the Bay City Rollers may be bound to drive you rangy,
Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night contains wailing by Jon Bon Jovi,
& Almost Saturday Night by John Fogerty, is sung in the key of D,
On Saturday Afternoons in 1963 is by the lovely Rickie Lee Jones,
& Tom Wait’s Heart of Saturday Night sure has melodic tones,
I’m sure there are many Saturday songs that I’ve omitted from my prose,
So at this time, I shall conclude & bring these queries to a close.
