Did ye know that Robbie Burns day often goes long into night?
I'm not sure if it's a tradition or maybe perhaps a rite?
As they pipe the haggis in, & ye are in the bosom of yer kin,
It becomes official, let the party begin,
Don't ye be afraid to have a wee taste,
For you'll needent worry bout it expanding yer waist,
It may be not be an item you'll find at you're local deli,
Cause rumour has it that it's cooked inside of a belly,
So have a pint of Tartan or a McEwen's ale,
For the revelry's on high, one must not curtail,
So lads don your kilts, & get your sporran in its place,
& watch out for the lassies who are bound to give chase,
Let the band know, that you'd sure love to sing,
For the dance floor is awaiting fer yer highland fling!
