SC Card Exchange -- See everyone in January :)

Hi folks! - I got a lovely mailing today from trucks12trucks. Firstly it had a Beautiful Canadian Stamp on it featuring an inukshuk and two children - I'd never seen that before. I save stamps for our church which collects them for it's Mission and Outeach. Then inside there was a beautiful poem about the fall. Also a very generous addition of some coupons (especially some I've never seen for yummy things!) Thank you Trucks! - It's been a bleak day and then I got your mailing!

so im a tad bit late with my card ugh my face is getting red really sorry been a tad bit busy but the good news is i will be sending it out tomorrow i feel sooooooooooooooooo bad

Thank goodness I am not the only one who's late! Sorry to my SCer...just waiting for the glue to dry and then it will be in the mail tomorrow. Sorry...I dropped the ball this month.

Okay everyone here is the low down...

I am not sure if I can run a December card exchange because I will be away for the entire month of December and will have limited access to the internet. The choices would be

1)Have an exchange in December but I would not be able to keep an eye on things in case anyone does not get their card I cannot send out a replacement until January.

2)Not have a December exchange and resume in January but the deadline to send out for January would be extended since I will not be back until around the 10th when I can send names out.

Thoughts? Comments?

On a side note my card is very late this month and I apologize. I have spent more time at the hospital with clients then I have in my own home. I will make it up to my exchangee.

I received a beautiful card from TaraF the other day and can only thank her now. She was so generous with coupons as well! It really put a smile on my face that I really needed at this point! Thank you

We could always do it in January since there was a Christmas/December card exchange started by Amberlab I believe. That way you don't have to stress out about getting names out etc.
What does everyone think?

i say resume in jan. too. the holidays are stressful enough as it is, no need to add to it.

PS- it's not listed on the first page, but i have received my lovely card.

well i hate to say this but i have mine already done and pkged up and stamps on them and just waiting for the day to mail out
just because your not hear for the month doesnt mean we cant do this, is there ? if anything is a miss look after it in Jan... you would look after it in Jan anyway not in the month of Dec because of the back log of mail etc and catch of mail delay isnt over until about the 10th of Jan

I wont be able to take part in this in Jan...and i dont have anyone to mail these out for me and dont forget the postage if memory is right is going up Jan 1

so in this case we either go ahead and do it with me in it or
take my name off group 3....

SOMEBODY please let me know what the out come is please

I'm not clear shameus2000 about your post. Were the names already assigned for December or were you just preparing for the next month? Maybe if we don't do it this month you can somehow join the other Christmas card thread. Just trying to throw out suggestions.

I have not done this before and have been thinking of doing it in the new year because I am busy with so many things for December anyways. I am wondering if alot of people are busy for December also that it doesn't matter so much if you don't have a December one? My thoughts are-don't stress about it and don't take on too much. Maybe if people still want to do it-you can sort of get someone else to take your place with the organizing for December?
