Extreme Makeover: Home Edition isn't on tonight.
Actually it's probably just as well since that show always makes me bawl my eyes out

Yes, there are some horrible scenes and it is based on a true story, but it was also a story of someone doing good despite the odds to save lives.

I'd rather watch Schindler's List than have to sit through another screening of DW'slistofchoresthatneeddoing
The only question I cannot answer... why?

Very true. And we need more people like that in the world also.
I have always wanted to see it especially since anything with Liam Neeson in it is usually awesome.
I have never seen The Passion of The Christ or Amistad either, for the same reason I have never seen Schindlers List. People who know me advised against it

After no power for four days here, we still had hot showers for three days.
Another thing to look at with no power - a thermos. While camping this year, we had a camp stove but forgot to bring a pot, but did have a small thermos. Borrowed a pot, heated as much water as we needed, plus filled the thermos for later.

Which reminds me I have to buy new batteries for my flashlight.
When the power went out here for over ten minutes last week my apartment was pitch black (all the street lights were out too) and because I couldn't see to walk around or do anything all I could do is curl up on the couch and try to calm my cat down because he was shaking and digging his nails in.

lol blackpup we have a well too! yes not having any water at all is really hard. Also on the note of well water-ours is bad to drink right out of the tap and anyone who says water from the tap is fine-isn't thinking about those of us who have slightly corrosive water and hydrogen sulfide gas-stuff that can make you sick! We have a reverse osmosis machine that our water runs through first-the same kind bottled water companies use supposedly.

coutess that doesn't sound fun! living out of town-I don't know what it's like to have street lights outside. But I can imagine that it would be hard when they go out because you are probably used to the light they give.

Did everybody leave for the night? Hey! Did you know it echoes in here when there's no one but you? I could yell all kinds of naughty things and no one would know! Heh heh heh!!!
The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present. - author unknown
