Oh your just like me!!! They love it when i call. Had a big meeting with them lastyear near the end of school, these big wigs now nothing about how to run things properly, staff or children. My son was to get a personal computer for school 4 yrs ago, where is it ????? Along with downright rude teachers that act like they are 5, how did these people get hired? Oh well i start the fun on tues, 3 different school and three different sets of problems.

preparing to do wild cranberries.....I hope the 30 jars I found are enough....sigh.....then must decide if I should pick more....I would love to get chokecherries....
nicjosemm.....lucky you done beets....I think I have 2 more days of that.....I have a box waiting for me.....and a row in the garden.....
Also hoping to go to my sisters and pick beans tomorrow to make mustard beans.... I am glad to hear that someone else is in the same position as myself.....I feel like this is never ending but it will be so worth it in the winter - so much to do so little time! My vegetables in the gardens seem to be neverending!!!Last edited by GottaLoveFreeebies; Thu, Sep 3rd, 2009 at 09:31 AM.

It can be very overwhelming....! I live in the city so I have a pretty small garden but it is amazing what I can get out of it! I also take advantage and plant at my parents back home in the country!

We have a large garden so we supply our friends and nieghbours with fresh veg all summer. the neighbours are all very elderly so they appricate the fresh vegs since they can get out much. Everyone askes for my beets, so i will give a jar or two on condition that i get my jar back or no more for them. i swear i provide for 10 families all summer long from my garden and still have lots left to jar.

Making a cup of tea.....it's raining.
"Far over the misty mountains cold, to dungeons deep and caverns old,
We must away ere break of day, to seek the pale enchanted gold."

Good morning, all! Gee, those of you with gardens are fortunate, indeed! Our soil gave out several years ago, and nothing more would grow... (it's a rental, and they wouldn't do anything about it, and neither can we)
I still try to get local produce, and at least freeze some for the winter. I'll freeze beets for borscht but not pickle this year.
