Ur so right, when you relax, you can take in the wonders around you. Cake sounds good. I don't drink tea - ever, but lit a fire, made a hot chocolate with some Bailey's, & watched the Leaf's game. Now, time for bed. Good night.

A day without obligations is a treat. You notice things that you might not when busy. You enjoy just being you!
Made the chiffon cake but not quick rolls. Made a hasty pizza and enjoyed it. Am a crabby cook in kitchen if someone else is around. Noticed during snow squalls (short) that the light looks pretty. Had a mug of tea-don't always have it each day. Need a good fiction work to read tonight. Will see if library ebooks has a romance for me!

It was sunny here this morning too, but really cold. First day I've had nothing scheduled for a long time. Was suppose to be a day for cleaning, & what did I do ? Absolutely nothing. Shish - what a nut. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. lol

I know, I was surprised. A few sprinkles here & there, but nothing to speak of. Tried to walk the dog before it started, but it never did.

Delighted that this morning after the earlier rain, not much came down on my walk somewhere this morning. Had an umbrella along too. I was hoping rain would fall mostly last night and it DID!

Canada Day is hot! Hope you had refreshing treats and enjoyed some free time!

Neither do I !!!!!! And I can identify with all the maintenance still left undone - frustrating. Oh well, one day at a time.

Winter remains on my mind due to lack of progress on yard maintenance issues since snow melted; sure some trees got trimmed but not all of the ones that need to be cut. Really don't want to experience another winter like that last one.

Got not rain @ all here, just bright sunshine, although I do hear thunder in the distance. It can rain every night as far as I'm concerned, as long as it's nice during the day. A freeze pop, um, that sounds like a good idea. Try to keep cool; just remember last winter.

Due to hot weather, I am having more pop and freeze pops than one should but at least I'm keeping relatively comfortable this weekend. No A/C in the house...nice downpours today!
