The last little while has been rough for me too (my friend's young cousin was killed), so I can sympathize. But it's made me promise to try harder to find the fun things in life.

Good that the feelings are coming back. & don't rush things - they take as long as they need to.

Yesterday was really bad-you know the days you feel like bursting into tears at nothing? well today is a bit better.... just feel like crying when something goes bad. I keep having bad dreams about when I was in the hospital after surgery. I keep thinking about tomorrow so I really need to think positive and be happy about it being 2yrs! I am starting to get feeling back in my skin on my back and it freaks me out sometimes when I feel hair brushing against my back because it doesn't feel normal because normal has been no feeling. the first few times I was not sure what the sensation was which is odd because I should remember but even clothing on my skin is an odd feeling when I do feel it. So that is positive.

Haha! poor Quincy. lol Felix isn't a tourist attraction-the only tourists around here are the birds and bugs stopping through. lol They really don't want to see Felix. haha well hopefully you have a good Friday! thanks! haha no Felix is not happy with the snow-you should have seen him this morning-he was sitting in the one window and just staring outside for a long time like he just could not believe it and it was not good. He knows he doesn't go out when there is snow so he was probably thinking darn it because it was just starting to get nice out that he could go outside and he almost had me convinced to take him out and then this horrible tradgedy happens. lol what to do, what to do. lol sorry I am trying to convey how he was looking but I don't know if I am doing a good job. well ttyl

lol Felix may have an issue with that-he figures I should be taking care of him even when I don't feel well. He might think that my feeling yucky is my problem not his. lol Cats for you. he was licking my wall again this morning-I am telling myself he is helping with house work. lol if only the wall was dirty tho and actually needed cleaning.

LOL sounds like Edmonton actually tho Edmonton is smaller scale. lol I think there must be almost every ethnicity there! It is neat when Edmonton has Heratige days which is a festival where each ethnic group that wants to participate sets up a booth and alot of restaurants do the booths I think. It is like traveling the world but on a much smaller scale. lol Edmonton has some comunities that used to be towns that sort of got swallowed up I think as Edmonton grew. Edmonton is very multicultural also. Anyways enough about that! lol If you ever come this way to Alberta and stuff you have to come visit me! that would be neat! You could meet Felix! lol He would be offended if you didn't visit him! lol Oh great news! He is actually jumping through the hoop now instead of stepping through! I keep telling him-more enthusiasm and he actually listened instead of just looking at me like "why don't you jump through the hoop" lol He is getting too used to treats at night tho because now he expects it and sits in front of the cabinet and meows that it is time! lol funny how my posts always end up about Felix no matter what we talk about. Sorry.

I've travelled east, but never west - one of these days, I'll have to do a road trip. My one friend loves Vancouver. One of my friends from elementary school lives in Calgary now, another place I have to go one of these days. I've also travelled in the States, a bit in Europe, & even Africa (well, technically Egypt is in Africa ).

Toronto's got some pretty areas, some areas aren't quite so nice, like any big city. The thing that makes it really neat is that there are tons of neighbourhoods that are like mini cities. Some are based on ethnicity (Little Italy, Chinatown, Little India, Greektown), others on economics (Rosedale & Bridle Path are where the rich folks live). It's neat, in Greektown, there are lots of Greek restaurants & shops, & the street signs are in English & also in Greek. The neighbourhoods also have festivals each yr that can be fun.

When Toronto tried for the Olympics, their slogan was Welcome to Our World, & it's true - I think just about every country is represented in some way (shops, restaurants).

Now I'm sounding like the tourist bureau.

My friend's parents came for a visit when I first moved here & her Mom was so scared of climbing up to the roof. She thought she'd have to climb up a fire escape, instead of going up a flight of nice inside stairs. If nothing else, the stair climb gives me exercise.

There are lots of places to walk around here. The Distillery across the street is all cobblestones, lots of expensive shops to poke around in & artists to visit. My street dead ends at Parliament St, there's a park on the other side, & then a nice street with trees & benches along the way. Actually, that's the one thing about Toronto, there are lots of trees & parks everywhere you go, even downtown.

lol I thought about that after I posted that. But they are smaller than you-you should calculate so much per size. lol But if the cat would find that out he might be upset because he would get less then. lol He probably figures he should get the whole thing for himself and you and the dog get nothing. lol Felix can be like that. But I love him. You did get a wonderful shot and you are really good at taking photos! I wish my rooftop wasn't so hard to get on to. lol I could go there to relax too! but it is somewhat steep. I go for walks or play with Felix. Walks are really nice out here because there is no one around and it is peaceful.

I helped my friend this morning, so it was a very early wake up (5:30am). I HATE getting up when it's still dark outside. The critters are fine, they had half my pizza (frozen stuff but still good), so I'm left hungry. lol

I went to a nice restaurant with my folks & in true SCer fashion, it was a place that gave me my meal for free. I'm soo stuffed, I don't think I'll eat for a week. lol

Thanks Andit for the rep! my tooth is absessed and it is still painful but the pain has gone down slightly and my face on the outside is not noticably swollen any more! yay! no more strange looks! lol still swollen on the inside tho. oh well.

thanks for the rep and feel better wishes! I am trying to keep busy so I don't feel the pain so much. Also a benefit of T3's for my mouth is that it also helps with my back pain so I can be up alot more! I have been up for like an hour and still kind of ok! gotta love the painkillers! lol but I can never be on T3's very long because they start giving me headaches so I can only use them when absolutely need them. Well enjoying the less back pain while I have it!

oooh so that is why my kitty doesn't help out around the house-b/c he's a boy? I try to get him to at least pick up his toys but he hasn't quite mastered that yet!

Lily dog is pretty good about helping out. Quincy cat is useless, except for entertainment. I always joke that he refuses to do housework because he's a boy.

I wish I could help. Yes wouldn't it be nice if the animals would do more to help pay the bills? lol I'm trying to convince my cat to do something around the house but it hasn't worked yet! lol thanks for the comment on my profile pic-I will let Felix know he is cute still! lol

Too bad the dog lost her talent for finding money - she found $5 once. Gonna have to raid my xmas fund to pay the bills, at least at the bank they don't mind getting paid in nickels & dimes.
