  1. because of my back, some days I still need to use those buttons to open heavier doors that are still too heavy for me. people sometiems look at me strange because my legs work so why am I pushing the button? I have gotten used to the looks. developed a thick skin-they can look and think what they want. I most likely will never see them again in my life so who cares what they think right? well thanks again for everything!
  2. thanks Lynn. that is awful that your son has to go through that. I reacted so badly to morphine that they had to find other drugs during my hospital stay after my surgery. none of them worked quite as well of course so I was in a ton of pain but to me I preferred that over the side effects of morphine. I react to everything though. lol it is good your son was able to take morphine as long as he was able I suppose but yes others do screw it up for other people. I hope he can find something that works even somewhat as well. pain can be debilitating. is he still in a wheel chair? I experienced what it's like to be in a wheel chair for a short time after my surgery and it can be very difficult to get around especially when you have back pain because you can't push yourself around and need help. plus very few buildings are actually wheel chair accessable because those ramps are so steep it can be very difficult and alot of the buttons to open doors don't work.
  3. I'm happy that you had a better day today, Hon...and I hope tomorrow is even better! When I see your cat it still so reminds me of our DD's cat that she had from the age of 13 until she was 29! It's identical!
I know all about back pain...I do have 3 degenerated discs myself but our son is far worse off after back surgery many years ago that put him in a wheelchair for about 9 years! Now, with doctors so afraid to prescribe his morphine for pain, he's been in withdrawl...and he never abused it...but some people mess it up for others, so everyone has to suffer.
    Anyway...better and sunnier days ahead!!!
  4. thanks. I fear spring is a ways away though here. snow falling today and supposed to stay cold for awhile yet. but thoughts of spring does keep me going and cheers me up some. today isn't quite as bad as it has been thankfully.
  5. Deals, I hope you find out more about why you have that nerve pain and that you truly are on the road to a full recovery. Being incapacitated in any way alters daily life, but I always think that there are worse out there, and I try to count my blessings.
I'm the same, but we see our doc tomorrow and I know he'll make everything right again...he feels so bad for me when things like this happen...he really is a gem!
Good luck and take time to heal...you know where to find us when you get back, Hon!
    Hugs....Lynn
  6. thanks Lynn. I see my specialist tomorrow and hopefully it goes well. so I will not be here tomorrow more than likely. I will try to get on here again on Tuesday though. or tomorrow if I can manage at some point. I hope things are going ok with you? how's your heart blood pressure and stuff?
  7. thanks Lynn-skating rink stuff and my parents fighting terribly because of my dad. he is bullying my mom and me now too and making everything awful. I am having a terrible day today.
  8. thanks for the rep and is that a good thing? what did I surprise you about? hopefully it was a good surprise?
  9. It was a little sad, but she lived such a long, pampered life, that there are no regrets. It was such a surprise to see her...ahem...him...;-) Have a lovely weekend and thank you for your concern...Lynn
  10. thanks for the rep! also I hope it was nice to be reminded of your daughter's kitty? my kitty is just turning 2 this month and it would be wonderful if he would live as long as your daughter's cat! I hope it brightened your day versus bringing back sad feelings of missing your daughter's kitty.
  11. That's happened to me: phone and let the manager know. You'll get a coupon for a free one, hopefully! Good luck! ;-D
  12. Thanks! Nothing cures you of a craving more than a cold burger! lol it wasn't that great-at least I can remember this for the next time I crave one! lol It was actually still fairly good-just cold. oh well.
  13. Thank you! This trip was a gift from my lovely hubby...a REAL Packers game in GreenBay at Lambeau Field, then lots of outlet shopping! I'm hoping to find some Christmas presents!...Have a great weekend and I hope that A&W burger was everything you hoped for....I often crave them, too!!!!
