  1. Yup, and just as I got your visitor message, the skies went dark and thunder
Hopefully it stops before I leave for the day!
  2. Hasn't the weather been a pain, lately?! We drove home from my physio in the rain, poor hubby had to haul my wheelchair out of the van, load me into the house, and now it's gorgeous out there! Actually, I just looked again and it's clouded oner...just like yesterday: schizophrenic weather...

Oopsies...forgot to thank you for the rep, and I hope it's sunny where you are, too!
  6. Thank you, Pixels....I feel so 'out of it' so often on here...I envy anyone starting out ... having babies ... being at the end of it all instead of the beginning is new territory....Take good care, Hon...Lynn
  7. I have seen a pic before with her girls, she has shorter curly hair
  8. Hon...let's hope good sense prevails...I imagine her good friends wouldn't tell her what she read on here...I hope it sinks in...Take good care, Hon..
  9. I can tell you, he would be out on his butt if it was me, work is work, I know I am lucky that I work in the field I wanted to, have an amazing boss and enjoy my work (even if there are days I pull my hair out) but to let your kids go without etc?
  10. Me too, I have given him advice before, he chooses not to take it, not much you can do
  11. If it was one of the more plastic ones or foil I would be more concerned, or the really patterned ones as you never know what they use to colour them, but even with the news print the vet wasn't all that worried as long as the dog was pooping and not puking. Think about all the stuffing etc dogs eat from toys, they have quite hardy digestive systems really
  12. Change keyboard back to English

So. Yah. Cheesehead all the way!!!
    Hehehehe!!!
  17. ewwww you are a cheese head?
  18. No dogs for us in the immediate future, its just a dream at the moment, we are both gone too long in the day and our little spitfire of a cat hates dogs with a passion, I have seen all 6lbs of her go after a Golden and leave the poor dog cowering under a table. Nasty little girl lol
He wants a Beagle or Spaniel so when we do make the decision to get a dog it should be interesting
  19. Good morning, Pixels!
It's really unbelievable how ignorant some people are about animals in general and then dogs, specifically. My husband and I have trained 3 dogs in the last 40 years and all it requires is vigilance and patience. If a dog 'messes' in the house, it's our fault, not hers. That's the way I see it, anyway.

As for size: omg...I would have a dozen Great Danes if I could! There's nothing quite as exhilarating as having one of those bounding at you full speed for hugs and kisses! LOL!!! But...we downsized our home (we sold our 3000sq ft home to our daughter and her hubby), and, being older, a little dog is just right for us.
I hope you have a lovely day, Sweets!
  20. We had quite a few come through the shelter, they are fairly hard to train compared to typical pet breeds and I don't think a lot of first time dog owners realise how stubborn they (or most breeds to be honest) can be when training and end up surrendering them because they misbehave (we once had someone give in a 10wk Golden puppy because it wasn't housetrained yet, they had it 6 days after flying out West to get it for their kids for Christmas and gave it up around New Year)

They are adorable, not the breed I would have (I like huge dogs and really really want a Bernese Mountain Dog) but I love them
  21. Hi, Pix! I've really never been near a doxie before but this one just won my heart! I can't believe I'm going to be holding her in another month...!!!!
  22. My sentiments exactly, Pixels!
Hope you're having a great day, Hon!
