mine doesn't even have that excuse, she was a feral who was brought to a no kill shelter because she had kittens. Three vicious attacks and a year later they felt they had to do something about her but being the sap I am I said I would foster her until they had more space, try to bring her around at home. Yeah that was over 3 years ago LOL However, she did get over stealing food, now she sits at your feet and cries. You would think having to fend for herself and steal garbage/mice for years for her only source of food she wouldnt be so darn fussy? Most cats that have been stray for a while or born feral polish off a bowl of food in seconds. This one NEEDS one of the male cats to come and sit with her or she wont eat. She will sit by the food bowls and scream until one of them come for her, its ridiculous
Our cat is a beggar and a stealer too. Can't leave the kids alone at the table with their cereal bowls. Cat just helps herself and they feel powerless to stop her because she's so old and frail. Its unbelievable the nerve that cat has--but she's old and we figure she's earned it after years of being our best friend and best mouser. LOL
that sounds about right for our house lol our female cat goes on hunger strikes, she is VERY fussy about eating, if she isn't eating and begs for something from his plate, he will stop eating and just let her take what she wants and have a sandwich himself!
