Aw, Hon...so sorry to hear about what you're going through...I don't know how long ago your diagnosis was, but I was involved with the Crohn's and Colitis assn for a while and I do know that there are lots and lots of happy endings when things...settle down (for lack of a better word) and get on track. Our son-in-law's brother has it and has finally come to the point where living with it doesn't seem much different than what any of us contend with. But it took time..I have IBS so I understand the pain and discomfort.
I hope you find the relief you need to get on with a more positive, happy life...There is a forum (I liked the one on the US C&C site) where you can chat with others who are going through and who have gone through what you're facing now...Best wishes, Hon....
