  1. YES!!!! My PACK won!! Cou.dn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys!!!!!!!!
    Thanks, Lites!!!
  2. And the Packers win the Superbowl, woot woot!
  3. LOL...thank you for the rep, Lites...sorry I can't rep you back, yet....And yes...you could say that Superbowl Sunday is something I look forward to from the day football season kicks off every year. Oh, the parties we had! 15-20 couples in our livingroom, decorations, games......SO much fun!!!
Have a wonderful day tomorrow with your family, Lites!!!
  4. Good to know, Lites.....our Tammy did the same: stayed in bed until one of us got up...but this is WAY too early for two retired people! LOL!
I also can't wait to get her out of that crate and into her nice bed we have for her...when we go out for a while, she's 'locked' in the hallway with her food/water/toys and bed, and we find her in it when we get home, so she obviously knows what it's for....but for now..it's a cage...she's only 4months old, so I guess it'll be a while before we can trust her in our room and hallway when she should be in her bed..
    Hope you're having a great day, Hon!...Lynn
  5. Hi Lynn, that must be so cute having her dash around the yard in the snow, I know Sadie does it to she loves snow, lol
Jenny may start staying in bed longer as she gets older, Sadie was always up early too but now she just stays in her bed until she knows one of us is up for good, it's 9:30 am here and she is still sleeping in her bed because the house is quiet and DH is still asleep...she's funny that way...if one of us is up early, she knows that when we are getting dressed and are quiet, we're going to work and she stays in bed, haha
(Her bed is an actually doggie bed with a fluffy blanket in it by the bed, she hasn't slept in a dog crate since she was about 1)
  6. Good morning and thank you, Lites!!
I've watched videos of dachshunds the minute we committed to buying Jenny....but they're all so cute I never tire of them. I was thinking yesterday how cute it would be to video Jen racing like a mad-dog around the 'course' my hubby stomped down with his snowshoes...lol...omg...she's just a black flash!!
But....when do they start sleeping past 5am?!! I place her on her puppy pad, she piddles right away, then I put her back in her cage beside me and I get another hour and a half...yawnnn....not...enough...sleep....
    Have a great day, Hon!!
  7. Posted by Janetta...its so cute it's a dachshund video to start your day :

that lady also has 2 other cute videos, one is her dachshund playing in the snow, the other is playing in the house, they are all in slow motion and have nice music..made me smile
  8. Hi Lynn, how is your Jenny doing? Keeping you busy I imagine...you never got back to me yet regarding the card...
Hope all is well with you, I bet Jenny is getting so big! You should upload a few pics for me to see, lol
I have been trying to find Sadie a friend, hopefully a rescue one, but they are so hard to find and I'm still not working right now so out of my budget, lol...they are sooo funny, now if I can only stop her from peeing from excitement whenever my mother comes over, haha, poor Mom, Sadie only does this to her, lol
  9. Happy New Year Lynn!!
  10. okay Lynn, please let me know when everything settles down...thanks for replying, glad you are okay.
  11. Hi, Lites!
No, nothing yet...but this time of the year, who knows? I'll let you know when it arrives...SO busy here, son visiting, wrapping to do, a wedding ceremony to perform the morning of the 24th, and fighting through bronchitis! Is it too early to want this all over with so things go back to norma? Merry Christmas, Hon!
  12. Hi Lynn..Just wondering if you got my card yet with our "trade"...I haven't heard from you in a couple weeks and it's been a while now, getting worried. Can you please let me know, I know we're all busy but just so I know it arrived safe and sound.
Thanks, hope you're enjoying Jenny and getting ready for a wonderful Christmas!
    ~Sandra
  13. pm'ing you
  14. Hi, Lites!!
Did you receive my PM re that recipe? Just wondering!
  15. sounds great, thanks!
  16. Hey....Kool took all day to help me fix the problem with that huge pic, and now you want more?! LOL!!
Okay...not all day...it probably just felt like it to him..
    I'll post pics this weekend!
    Have a lovely weekend, Lites!!...Lynn
  17. need new puppy pictures!
  18. Perfect, thanks, Lites.
We'll have this on wiggly Sadie in no time!
  19. HI, yes I had received the other message but hadn't read it yes I guess i hadn't seen it...
OKay so her "thighs" at the thickest part closest to her body is about 5-6" around
and the measurment under her neck is about 3-1/2-4" from where her thigh starts to the collar.
is that what you need, hard to measure her cause she's so wiggly, lol
  20. Good Morning, Lites!

I'm guessing you didn't receive this PM, either..

So. The knitting part is done.
I just have to sew the two pieces together, which is where you come in again. You didn't know it would be this much work for you, eh?

So: from the part where her collar for her leash would start (but underneath her chin)...I'll need the measurement from the collar, under her chin, to where her front legs would start. That is...where her thighs would start. If you look at that pic of the dog in the coat, the measurement I need is the part that attaches the top to the bottom from under her chin, to the leg opening. Almost like a shoulder length.
    Clear as mud?

It might also help to know how...ahem...wide those thighs are: I don't want them pinching her upper legs, and I'll leave a generous amount anyway. If you find the leg holes are too wide, you just have to take a needle and thread and close 'em up a bit...okay?

    Have a great day!...Lindi
  21. Oh, Honey, I've been watching football all day but THE game is tonight..MY GreenBay Packers (a moment of reverent silence, please) against their former traitor of a quarterback brett favre. OH, how I want them to win. My guys. Not the bad guys.

My post was too long so I have to now PM you...
  22. lol@ the knitting lady who takes her knitting everywhere...that used to be my Gran, lol
Wow you sure knit fast! Ok well no rush as I said! Enjoy your election work!
Have a good Sunday night, isn't football on today??heehee
  23. Ah, good...that's where I assumed you had measured it, but of course I wanted to be sure, so I'll stop where I am and start her tummy part. I couldn't use the coupon today, as their Lion Brand yarn was on sale from 9.99 to 6.99. But the first ball I used the coupon.
It should be done Tuesday; I'm working the election tomorrow here...hm...I could take my knitting with me.
OMG...I'm turning into one of those women who bring their knitting everywhere! Nope. Not gonna happen. I shall bring a book.
A pic would be so fun to see, thank you!
    Toodles for now, Hon...Lynn
  24. good morning...
Wow, already through one ball of yarn, I knew she was fat, lol
I measured her from where the collar would go from her leash (base of her neck) to the top before her tail starts.
And yes, 4" is enough of a neck, lol..when I get it, I am going to take a photo and send it to you of her wearing it, lol
Thanks so much, I really appreciate this.
  25. Good morning, Lites!
That's silly that you didn't get my pm re measurements.
I just need clarification: when you measured her, you said the measurement was from the "top of her neck to her tail". Is that length from the base of her neck (where it meets her shoulders) to her tail?
That's what I assumed you meant.
And if so...then would about 4" do for the turtleneck part, or does she need it to be longer? No worries, whatever she needs! I have to head out today for another ball of yarn...I can't believe that the top part blew through almost an entire ball..lol..I'll pick it up today with a coupon.
    Have a lovely Sunday, Hon!...Lynn
  26. hi, no, i did not get any pm's...what did you need for measuremnt?
  27. Yes, that's what I thought, also: she does look like a long-haired dachshund...I'll know more as we go along. I just thought it was so nice of them to send new photos of her and tell us that she's doing well and that when 'the boys' are resting and sleeping she's still up and snooping around...
  28. I just uploaded new photos we were sent today!
  29. Hi, Lites...yes, I knit it for our new Jenny, although I was just guessing at her size; she'll likely have to grow into it. I've never knit for anyone else before except for family Christmas gifts....what size is your doggie?
Ooo. I just saw that you have 5 (!) animals plus your 4 kiddies? YOU are one busy lady!!! And Vancouver....isn't it paradise there in the winter?
I also sew doggie coats...much faster than knitting since my arthritic hands can't knit for any length of time...(except for this torturous "Burberry" cowl I'm knitting...omg!!!)..so I could sew your doggie a sweater (fleece, quilted....)...What kind of dog is he/she?
I'm getting SO excited about our little Jenny; we just received new pics of her today ... I just want to squish her!
    Have a lovely evening, Hon...Lindi
