  1. I will volunteer to help eat that upside down pineapple cake!
I am already hungry and am just waiting for DW to get home from work then we will have the dinner I have prepared.
  2. Bob Ross still rocks in reruns!
  3. The folks in our little group always support each other, you do the same. These are tough times for everyone, even I get fed up sometimes, but I always remind myself that there are others hurting so much worse than I am, physically and emotionally.
My Friend just lost her Husband....how can I possibly feel anything other than blessed.
So I try to scatter a little support where I can....Take care, Skippy...hugs!
  4. Rejoicing with you that your Grandson tested negative for Covid!
  5. You too, Skippy....enjoy each day as it comes the good and the not so much good...Your walks are likely doing a lot for your continued mobility. It'll be interesting this year at camp, how or if at all, I'll be able to walk to our kids' trailer. Might need one of those adult tricycles some other gals have.
  6. I don't function sometimes at all, as in when I made my last comment to you about all the pics/photos/memes whatever you call the things you posted yesterday.
Somehow my mind registered 1:30ish a.m. not p.m.!!! hence my comment! Duh...oh well better days ahead!!
Sorry to hear about your fibromyalgia and your Mack truck reference(I can relate). Kudos to you for still doing what you can do,at least you're still making the effort and haven't given up. As for me, I left the blue box out and the snow froze and the box weighs a ton after I found out the hard way! That said, better than some, worse then others. Keep on truckin' my friend!
  7. Oh, I don't actually function that early, Skippy! When I wake up, usually 9-9:30, take my time moving around, taking inventory of where the pain is. I usually feel as if I had a run-in with a Mack truck. Hubby is up first, has the coffee made, so it's just Jenny and I and Jenny has no inclination whatsoever about getting up. As I slip off tge bed, Jenny squiggles under the blankets and disappears. When I get downstairs Hubby has my coffee ready, we sit, chat, catch up on the news on TV, and it's only after a 2nd coffee I can finally consider having breakfast. Skippy, I can handle doing some sewing for an hour, puttering, tidying up this or that, but the rest of the afternoon I have to rest.
My fibromyalgia has become worse over the few years since I was diagnosed and each day is an adventure. I hope you're enjoying more days in comfort, Skippy.
  8. How can you function so early in the morning? Have a great week!
  9. Thanks for the well wishes, unfortunately my body didn't get the message as still not good today. I am going to vegetate for the rest of the day. BTW what is your newest hobby?
  10. No problem Skippy...we're here for each other...yesterday I could only watch tv or play games on here...some days are just better than others. As far as remembering things, this should make you feel better: the other day I couldn't remember a word I desperately searched for in my head when I was telling my Hubby something and got so frustrated I just blurted out, "that thing that keeps food cold!!!!" hahaha!! There ya go. Feel better now? Take care, Skippy!!!
  11. Thank you for your kind words
  12. Thank you, Skipper.. I sure do wish you and your family all the joy your hearts can hold, all the blessings heaven can bestow, my Friend.
  13. Love your cat and coffee post! It rocks!(do people still say that?) too bad if they don't!
Have a great weekend and stay safe!
  14. I didn't realize till your post that you're also a trailer park partying animal!
    Enjoy it all my friend!
  15. The cucumber person was beyond my great intellect too!
  16. Starfrit rocks! just like K-TEL(remember them?)
  17. Thanks,as for the party I just need to see if I can stay awake that late!
  18. Too true, Skipper! The focus will be on your Daughter, and your smiling, pain-free face! ....
Have an absolutely wonderful time with your family and friends, Hon!!! PAR-TAY!!!
  19. Thank you, Skippy. It breaks my heart to waste days, a life, to grief. We all miss loved ones in the same exact way: it hurts like hell. Maybe it's my faith, but I believe they're still with us and that we'll see them again: I'd hope they would be pleased at how I lived, how precious I felt life was, and how I didn't waste it feeling sorry for myself. Blessings to you, Skipper!
  20. Thank you for the beautiful message.May you and yours be blessed this Christmas Day and throughout 2018!
  21. Good morning, Skippy! Thank you for those kind words, and you have a lovely Monday!!
  22. All prayer helps, thank you for remembering me.
  23. Thank you, Skipper!! Like Hicks, I keep you all in my prayers every night...I hope it helps some...Take good care...
  24. Thank you, Skippy. He seemed to be going thru a slump with his recovery. I can sure understand all about that: it's been 2 1/2 years since my fall...my knee's been cut open in the same place 4 times, so boy do I know about impatience with iit All! I hope he's Okey....and BTW, you're no slouch in the caring department, either ! Take care and wishing you only the best of everything in 2017!
  25. Thank you, Skippy...Charger and I are in exactly the same boat, having good and bad, pain-free, and painful days, being encouraged and discouraged...it's not difficult to understand what he's going through. I hope you're having more good than yucky days...will everyone be home for Christmas??
  26. Hi there! I hope the operation went well and that your Hubby is spoiling you!Remembering you in my prayers.
  27. I will remember to pray for you and your operation. You are so blessed to have been married for so long.We are coming up to our 30th next year.
My daughter has graduated from College. Two years worth gone by like that. She is living with us and I'm trying to learn how to treat her like an adult.
She is working part-time as a hairstylist, and eventually it will become full time.
As for me I was sick over Thanksgiving and had something burst in my stomach which caused me to bleed internally.Fortunately I didn't have to wait long for it to be dealt with. Now I need to watch what I eat and avoid greasy stuff.
    Take care my friend!
  28. Hi, Skippy....I'm having a total knee replacement on that knee I broke and had 3 surgeries and a scope on already; should have had my surgeon install a zipper! It's next Tuesday, the 25th, two sleeps in the hospital then home. I'm so blessed to have my Husband by my side through everything...he's my guardian angel. Has been for 46 years!
And how have you been keeping lately? Are you two empty nesters by now? Time seems to be flying by...
    Take good care, Skipper!!
  29. 8 days which is now 6,what is going on with you?(I think I'm brain dead)
