I`m slowly getting better, but there`s still *something* not quite right (ears keep getting blocked making me dizzy).

When I first got sick, I would go days without leaving my apt. Lily dog is one of the best things that ever happened to me - she makes sure I get out & about. & now I have Quincy cat taking me for walks too.

When she wants to play she comes to my office and goes around my chair. Goes out and repeats it over and over until I give in and play for a bit.
I am so happy she purrs but it is very faint and not often.... Perhaps it will get louder..

I am so happy to hear Desiree is almost back to normal... A good attitude makes all the difference... As for Diva.... she is getting demanding... and yet no purring yet ! I am completely baffled by it.

Thanks so much for asking. Desiree is doing much better, she's almost back to her old self (silly girl insists on going out shopping on her own!).

Devo is here and hiding up stairs. She keeps hissing at me then spitting and I gave her food and she inhaled it. I put her litter up there too along with water and dry food. She will come around in a few days. Lucky was not impressed.. tough luck for him. He needs a few worries in his life. He hasn't howled for food yet today! Devo's owner is actually a very nice young woman. Poor gal was so upset.

Maybe she`s worried her presence will upset Devo & taint the introduction?

Quincy`s been acting bratty lately. Yesterday, he pulled a cloth bag off the shelf & climbed inside. He then proceeded to swear at anyone who walked past. Poor Lily got a smack. Good thing he knows better than to try that with me (he gets time in `jail`& booties on his paws for such behaviour).

Thank you my friend. Lucky treats me like his personal treat dispenser. He walks into my office sits near me and stares. He will even pretend to sleep. He thinks he is fooling me.
I am very surprised the owner who loves this cat do much didn't bother to bring the cat by to see how we get along. Haven't yet met a cat that didn't like me. Will post some pics. She is short haired unlike Sammie who I still miss so much.

Hello my friend. At the moment I am ok. Though some days recently I wanted to jump off a bridge. It isn't a cold that I have. It is a blasted cough that I have had for months since before Mexico in May. I thought it would leave and be long gone.... no such luck. So tomorrow I am an early appointment at the hospital for a cat-scan.

How are you feeling? Hope you finally have that nasty cold beat.

Is your daughter still taking photos? If so, you should post some. I, for one, would love to see them.

Oh, poor baby. Is he drinking his usual amount of water? Try putting some tuna "juice" (the flavoured water from a can of tuna) diluted with water to get him to drink. Or try broth (beef, chicken, etc) diluted. My Quincy cat is weird & won't touch seafood or dairy, so I do the broth trick on hot summer days when I think he should drink more.

Hope your boy gets a clean bill of health from the vet.

I didn't find August so cool at all. We had the a/c on a great deal...
Last night's switch to these cool temps doesn't thrill me. Nothing we can do about it.
My daughter is good for now. Stress causes her to flair up... Her new Dr. in London is not only head of the dept but also a professor and head of the deportment there too.
He is a wonderful man and calm funny, and has a plan for my baby... The Dr we had locally thought drugs were the only answer....
The weather will warm up again It unusually does mid to late Sept.

We're doing well. I'm wishing we could have the 38+C back - it's been a very cool August! I'm hoping I'll be able to wear a sundress & have a BBQ at my friend's at Thanksgiving (we were actually sitting outside last year, hoping for a repeat).

How is your daughter? Is she eager to get back to school?

Eek! That's what I get for trying to multitask with my "jealous boyfriend" yelling at me (Quincy still hasn't forgiven me for running off to Chicago).

I am so thankful and hopeful that she will be ok.... Poor little thing has gone through so much... Time flies by here too! Much too quickly!!!! I hope to introduce my daughter to you at some point..... we shall see... Happy Canada Day!

All is well with us. I'm not sure where the time goes - we wake up, then the next thing you know, we're getting ready for bed. Must be all the fresh air (flavoured with smog and construction dust ).

I just finished a cup of hot tea with honey in it..... I am still not sure what I have kind of congested and a cough but the cough doesn't bother me for some time and then back it is... My daughter is doing well thank goodness. When I was in Mexico she began using a probiotic her pediatrician told us about.. and the meds she was taking that you use are down to one a day.. and next week none. We are also going to see a pediatric gastro. Apparently they work with kids completely differently. I am praying and am hopeful!

Try half a cup of strong tea topped up with rum - if it doesn`t make you feel better, it will at least give you a good night`s sleep.

Never tried donuts, but did try biscotti. Once. I had a lovely recipe for poppyseed biscotti & decided to bake a treat for my Dad (he has quite a sweet tooth). I asked my Mom where the poppyseeds were (this was many a year ago when I was still living at home) & she handed me a container. I asked her if she were sure the jar had poppyseeds - yes, yes, of course. Suffice to say that ground cardamom is one of those spices where less is more. A mouthful of the stuff leaves you wanting a pitcher of water.

My Dad was quite a trooper tho, & polished off a whole biscotti.

I am sure it will turn out great. Just do not try to make donuts. I tried once and my dad teased me about the hockey pucks! Let me know how it turns out.
