I would recommend using pantene shampoo and conditioner. It smells fantastic, helps maintain hair color and makes your hair really soft. I have unnatural red hair and my hair hasn't faded at all, and red fades the most! They are sulfate free so your hair color will not fade easily. They have many types of shampoo and conditioner for many types of hair, including shampoo and conditioner for regular, and over processed hair.

Go to a salon and have a major hair treatment to enhance your hair.

If you are looking for the best care of your hair, then i recommend to you for using standard brand shampoo, conditioner and other hair care product for your hair. You can keep your hair shiny and healthy through using good quality and chemical less hair care products according to me.

You could try an oil like John Masters Organics Dry Hair Nourishment & Defrizzer
or maybe a deep conditioning treatment mask, I like Aesop Rose Hair & Scalp moisture masque that works great for re-hydrating hair and making it super-soft

Like Meta, I find the kind of water makes a difference for my frizzy thick hair too. As for products, after trial and error, Frizz Ease conditioner works great on my hair; doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy, is softer and smoother. Like someone else mentioned, leaving it in while washing my body seems to make a difference too.

Wow. WHAT did those women do in the 20s-50s to keep their hair so shiny and healthy? We only had Breck and/or Suave, and Lustre Cream when we could find it, and TAME for a conditioner! We never needed these other "treatments" and goops that the manufacturers are pawning off on us. Really....when I think about the money women are asked to spend on their hair it boggles my mind...and when I think that I've fallen into that same trap...it makes me so disappointed in me...Frankly I don't think we need all that stuff.....I normally buy what's on sale, and that's it. Yes, I do like FrizzEase, but I'm thinking that the old Tame formula would have done just as good a job. Or Dippity-Do for that matter! LOL!!

If your hair is not natural (Perm, hair colour, highlights etc) Basically anything from the drug store isn't going to help your hair.
I bought this at cosmoprof (You need a license) and it is incredible!! My hair was SO damaged (Went from black to platinum blonde) and this saved my hair.
As far as I know you can`t get this at stores but you could look at your local salon?
