Winter Storm Set to Hit Toronto

Spring might be right around the corner, but Toronto is in store for some significant snow in the coming days. Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for Toronto, the GTA and parts of southern Ontario, warning of snowfall beginning on Monday. Toronto is expected to receive between 15-25 centimetres, with Hamilton to Niagara possibly seeing up to 30 cm.

CRA Online Tax Services Available Again After 2 Day Shutdown

The Canada Revenue Agency’s (CRA) digital tax services became available again late Sunday afternoon after being offline for over 48 hours. The agency had shut down some services Friday at around 2 p.m. ET after discovering a potential security risk. The services remained down until 5 p.m. ET Sunday. CRA spokesperson Patrick Samson there was never a successful hack of their systems.

Lee and HTeam I am so jealous that you guys got to see Saga! Another Canadian iconic band. HTeam, when we saw April Wine last year it was the band that shut down any photography and videos. So I would not be surprised that the band themselves told the venue no videos or photos, save for the ones with no flash and those even tend to turn out bad because of the light show behind the bands. This is the new YouTube norm now!

Good morning my Q friends. I'm going to go crazy over the next couple of weeks. I have nothing to do and don't get my check until the end of the month. I'm really pissed off with a supposed friend who ripped me off for a couple of special books I lent him. I called him and his number is no longer in service and I went to his place and knocked on the door and the guy who answered said he had moved out a while ago. What a jerk. He could have returned them to me before he left. What goes around comes around. It's going to be Hell this week with the major snow coming our way.

Hubby & I (along with another couple) went out for dinner / drinks last night to Chuck's Roadhouse in Brampton... nothing fancy, but the food was good and the prices are very reasonable.... lots of TV's around the bar too so that we could watch the Leaf game.... Turns out that every Saturday night they have a "Burn your Bill" draw and they pulled our bill from their bucket!! Sweet!! We did some quick math and we figured our bill was about $200.00... nice surprise!!

The SAGA concert Friday night was fantastic. I really enjoyed the show. They did a bit of a "meet and greet" after the show so it was nice to "hang out" with the band and get some things signed... I have some really, really old "fan club" newsletters from the 80's that I brought with me that the guys got a kick out of... We were not allowed to take pictures during the show but I took a few... Yes, we saw April Wine at the Rose Theatre about two years ago, and the ushers and the band were all sticklers for photography. Not even cell phones. They treated the "grey haired" crowd like a bunch of kids.

Other than that nuisance, the show was good.
