About a week before Christmas, everybody thinks were crazy cause we put it up so late But we get a real tree (I know, we shouldn't be using a real one, but the smell of pine is tradition in our house ) from the forest right behind our house, so we need to put it up as late as possible to keep it fresh!

i wish we could have a real tree.. but hubby is severely allergic.
I usually put it up about a month before.. depending on whats happening that weekend.. it literally takes me a full week to decorate my house.. i have about 10 rubbermaid containers full of stuff. 3 trees. this year i'll be helping my MIL do her house. first time ever she's decorating for xmas.
i find once the stores have their decorations out/up and the music playing 'it' starts.. the mood.. and then the snow/cold starts.. besides i LUV i mean literally LUV my tree.. last year it was a regular green tree in assorted shades/sizes of blue/silver/white.. this year its a white tree.. same colors.. but but a ton of stuff at WM last year on clearance. my house and tree should look fabulous darhling.. i'll try to post pics.Be Strong

Ours usually goes up 2 weeks before christmas and comes down boxing day. I have a small living room and once the presents are gone, its nice to reclaim that portion of floor space. I wish I could keep it up until new years day tho - I love the look of the twinkling lights and my decorations (alot of them are kids ones, and I just adore them.)

ya know i never considering just decorating the house. and then doing the tree.. wonder how that would work. the thing is when hubby takes out the decorations.. everything comes out.. so i really dont' have much of a choice.. although i really need to do a deep clean of my house first.. (esp. since my son took over it for halloween.. looks like a halloween store blew up in my house LMAO)
