Thread: Regarding the Recent Shoppers Drug Mart Optimum Points Events - Please Read

    yay for you Jeez! I hope it all works out for everyone affected. And I hope that the fact that they only have a flyer up to Dec 22 and then not another one until Dec 26th that they have something planned for you all for Xmas weekend.

    I can't believe someone would send you nasty comments You think people would be happy you got your points back!!! It is progress! I really hope more people can get their points back! It sucks they can't honor the mega redemption, I just hope the people affected can get their points back in time for Christmas to make this time of year just a little bit easier for them.

    Some of us have seen the flyer, there isn't anything good going on.

    As for people sending negative comments....seriously, get a life!
    It doesn't involve you, so just stay out of it!!!!

    Although I was not involved in the missing points issue, I feel terrible for those who were and have been reading all the threads regularly with hopes of a positive outcome for all of you!

    sarajk - what was the out come of your mother's points ordeal? Did she get them back?

    They never did respond to the e-mails & I really couldn't be bothered to call after knowing everyone was getting turned down. But last week I randomly tried her account and it wasn't frozen anymore. The points were there. I'm guessing I won't ever know if her points were gone or if the account was just frozen! I tried it 5 or 6 times but it had been a few days so I don't even know what day the account was back.
    But as you know I never did tell her they were missing.
    So while shes in the hospital the end of the month I'll take her card & get a new one.

    I have also emailed shoppers on another matter under my email and never heard back!! Certainly lacking customer service in many areas.

    I got my response a few days ago

    Thank you for writing to us. We have receiving notice from our Loss Prevention department that this investigation is completed. We have confirmed that you have transferred points to multiple cards. This activity appears to be the result of a point trading/selling scheme, and for that reason, the Optimum points will not be added back to your account. As per the Terms and Conditions of our Optimum program, "Shoppers Optimum Members cannot share their account number and account information with anyone else," "Shoppers Drug Mart reserves the right to limit the transfers from a Shoppers Optimum account," and "Except as permitted from time to time by Shoppers Drug Mart, Shoppers Optimum Points cannot be assigned, exchanged, purchased or given by gift. Shoppers Optimum Points cannot be sold, traded, bartered, rented or otherwise disposed of. Shoppers Optimum Points are void if sold for cash or any other consideration." Again, these points will not be added back to your account.

    I only gave my card number out for a roak but, I have gave points away. This just sucks as I have tried to be careful with my card and my number!

    that is sad !! I clearly said I transferred points between my roomie and myself and I said that in writing in the fax I sent them ....besides that there was very little activity on the account besides a raok where I gave another sc'er 28,000 points and the TAF event

    i've been following this thread too hoping for a good outcome. Glad to hear of the new updates - it's so great for those who have points reinstated or on their way.

    Yet they do friends and family events, and do encourage people to transfer points to their friends and family, even on their own facebook page. Then say never share your number with anyone or transfer points. Well which is it, transfer points with friends and family or transfer points with no one??
    Am I wrong, but in order to do the friends and family events do the people you are involved in it with need to know your number?
