Great idea - I will keep my eyes open for good prices on costumes. Of course, Sally Ann, Goodwill, and Value Village have a wide selection of costumes at good prices too.
Just joined Kiva.org, an organization that funds micro-loans to people in developing countries. I love the idea that the $25 I saved in groceries can be given to a fish woman with 5 children in the Philippines to help grow her business.

You can actually walk through a Party Stuff store and see all the halloween costumes and supplies. Walk through the door and turn to the right (this was just done this weekend). It is amazing the items they have available http://macklinphotography.com/ (Winnipeg store). Most costumes are $25.00 or less and up to 80% off. It really is a huge selection. Click on the browse the costumes on line and you can order on line or see their selection before you go to the store.

Got DS a lion costume (the hood is like a lion head), for $9 at Giant Tiger
Pretty cheap IMO. I checked for similar costume at RCSS, Walmart and they were more expensive (IIRC at elast $15)Last edited by Jina; Wed, Oct 17th, 2012 at 03:14 PM.
