Its not what you think!! There was a man in front of me trying to use a $25.00 gift card, I saw him going and getting a few items, I guess he was trying to get as close as possible to the $25.00 gc..he comes back with 4 big chocolate bars, guess he figures that will do it..the cashiers says they are on sale..she rings up his total and he still has $3.48 left on his card, the cashier gives it to him and he tells her to throw it in the garbage I tell him he can get a loaf of bread, eggs, some chips anything!! He said, " I don't need anything, you can have it"!! I was buying 2 items on clearance for $2.00 each so with his gc my total was next to nothing plus I got points and left with a smile on my face!!

WTG OP. You tried to help him out and he ended up helping you out. Like a reverse coupon fairy.

Love this brag! Reminds me of when husband went to IGA to pick up milk, waiting at the cashout, man ahead of him says he didnt want it and to "throw it out" - I guess the free item of the week (WUS $75 or more ) which was some fancy noodles, husband pipes up and says he'll take it. Guess you have to go without to appreciate the 'smaller' things in life. Bonus for us as we have some yummy *rich* noodles now. HA
