So strange: I was searching online for the TV broadcast schedule for the games, and found nothing. So I called CBC and was told that there isn't one! We'd have to check our local listing each day to get the times of the events, but they'd be "somewhere between 7-11am as well as in the evenings!
What am I missing here? After all this time they don't know what time they'll be broadcasting each event?Last edited by Lynn49; Thu, Jul 9th, 2015 at 07:53 PM.

Thanks, Nat...I did see those sites, but what I'm looking for is: "9am - 10am: Diving", rather than "guiding viewers through marquee events" ... That seems to me that they'll be flitting all over the place with more yacking than broadcasting actual events. Gr! I'll poke around ESPN....

More and more athletes have moved into the village. Some are showing off their pride with flags on the balcony (too much glare to see the flags in the windows, unfortunately).

Canada wins gold in Pan Am Games women's kayak event

WELLAND, ONT. - Well, that didn’t take long.
In the first medal event on the first full day of competition at the 2015 Pan Am Games, a group of four fast Canadian women provided the host country with the first trip to the podium.
The foursome of Michele Russell, Emilie Fournel, K.C. Fraser and Hannah Vaughan were on top of their game early Saturday morning on the historic Welland Canal, taking the lead early and powering home to victory.
One of Canada’s more accomplished Olympic organizations, the canoe-kayak sprint team is hoping for a boatload of medals here at the Welland Flatwater Centre and the early Saturday start was certainly a rousing beginning.
On Monday, four-time Olympic medallist Adam van Koeverden will chase gold in the men’s 1,000-metre kayak event while London 2012 bronze medallist (and Pan Am flag bearer) Mark Oldershaw will do the same in the 1,000-metre canoe event.
Canada has entrants in each of the 13 medal events here and CanoeKayak Canada’s high-performance director, Scott Logan, is on record as saying he expects his team to hit the podium in each.
While the women have been in the shadows of the men paddlers for the past two Olympics, the medallists from Saturday morning are hoping to qualify for Rio next summer.
Russell, who races out of the Cheema Aquatic Club in Fall River, Nova Scotia, could have a big Games as she’s also planning to compete solo in the K1 200- and 500-metre
