Thread: Worst service ever from walmart

Hi guys, this is my first brag since i came back to copooning, I just wanted to share my story since i felt mad at walmart for the service i've received for the last 2 months. ( and by the way, sorry for my poor english i'm french haha)
The first problem I had was with a 2$ off any glad kitchen catcher bag coupon that you can find on the clorox website. I wanted to take advantage of a zweet offer that gave you 2$ back when you buy a box of glad kitchen catcher bag. This is a printable coupon. When i came to the cashier she refused my coupons stating i was trying to fraud the store with protopied coupons and that she could call the police because of that. I had my phone on me so i was trying to show her how i got the coupon she refused to even look at my phone and said i had to leave. I tried to explain her a second time it was a real coupon and not a photocopy but then she called security telling them i was trying to fraud the store, then hey escorted me outside. I was polite, I didn't yelled at her and was trying to use good coupons so she didn't had any reason to call security. I never been so ashamed!!
the second problem i had was with the 2$ off coupon good on any glade products found in ziploc boxes. As you a know walmart had awesome dels after christmas on glade products, so when i went to my local wamart ( the same one) i grabbed a couple of was cube, wax melter and went to the cashier. I had 12 coupons. 4x 1$ off any wax cube and 8 x 2$ off any glade product. The cashier said she was only allowed to take 1 of each per purchase/customer. I've been using a few of these before and never had any issue with those. I said i can make 8 transaction if that could maker her feel more safe. She then refused and said that i was only allowed to une 1 of each today and to come back tomorrow. So i made 1 transaction with 1 of each and took a few to another cashier, and she came to the register and told the lady to refuse to take my coupons for today. I asked to talk to the manager and the manager said it was only 1 per customer. I told her every new transaction i make is considered a new customer and ever products i purchase is a new purchase , she said no only 1 a day, i had to explain again and argue with her to let me make 8 different transaction, but she said i had to go in line for every transaction, it took me 1 hour to get the 8 transaction done. And all that time since i went to the same cashier all the times because there was only one working at this time she was really unpleasant all the way out, really rude and very disapointes again from walmart.
then for a third time today. I had coupons for 2$ of any 2 l'oreal paris hair expertise products and 1,50$ off any 1 l'oreal paris hair expertise products. Some of the l'oreal paris products are on clearance since a few days, i found a few 1$ l'oreal paris shampoo and a few 2$ products. When i came to the cashier she said the 1,50$ coupon was for 2 products and the 2$ coupons was for 3 products. On the coupon you can read, " buy 2 and get 2$ off any l'oreal paris hair expertise product" and " buy 1 and get 1,50$ off any l'oreal paris hair expertise product". I stayed polite and kindly explained her that i've been using these for a while and never had any issue with those, that these coupons are made for 2$ off 2 and 1,50$ off 1 but she cut me and said i can only accept 1 for each 2 product, i said i will pay what's left and let go of the l'oreal paris products to come back another day. She said no you can't do that, let me explain you why, and she just started to serve other customer ignoring me , after she served 3 customer ignoring me i took my stuff and went to another cashier, she then called her and told her to only accept 1 coupon for 2 product or 1 coupon for 3 product. The cashier did as she been told and i came out of walmart with nothing but frustration. I was so mad at receiving a bad service that i didn't took what i came for at first.
These 3 situations happened to me in the past 6 weeks. I just feel so mad at walmart service that i don't feel like going back there, and i have to drive 30 minutes if i want to go to another walmart. I wrote to walmart for the 3 situations and they told me they appologize for the bad service i received and that they can't do anything else to help me. I don't really feel like the company do care about good customer service if i don't receive good service in store or from the company.
Did any of you received bas service from walmart? Any of you had the same issue with the l'oreal paris hair expertise coupon?This thread is currently associated with: Walmart

I had an issue using coupons at WM as well. What I did was call the Manager at my local WM, told him the story and he was floored about what happened. He apologized many times and gave me a $20.00 gift card for my troubles. I never had a problem with that cashier with coupons after that.
HOWEVER, this was about 5 years ago when there was not as much coupon fraud and misuse. Now days, forget it. Companies do everything they can to discourage coupon use BECAUSE of misuse. Can you blame them??????Last edited by maggiespice; Thu, Feb 11th, 2016 at 02:52 PM.

I would call and ask to speak to the store manager or co manager, not an assistant manager. The store manager or co manager should do something for you and if not call head office. I've seen plenty of times people getting a 15-25$ gift card because someone gave them terrible service or was out right rude to them.
I hope you get some solution to this issue, it is just horrible how some people can treat others.

I have had similar problem with the glade coupon being 1 per customer....some stores takes it very seriously and will limit you 1 coupon per person per day. I have had a CSM checking up on me, if I go line up again, she will go and tell the cashier don't accept my coupon. It made me felt like I was stealing from them or something. I complained to the head office, all they say is "its up the discretion of the management of the store"......I was speechless...... I have never went back to that location after repeat problems and issues. Its just not worth your time needing to argue with them, not to mention, most of the people there are not willing to listen.

Some of those coupons state "one redemption per customer". So any cashier, at any store, who refuses a coupon with that wording on it, allowing for only one to be used, would be correct in doing so.

With Target gone, Wal Mart has become even worse than before. Except for the store manager, rest are extremely rude and arrogant over there including ALL the CS managers, assisstant managers and staff.
complain to their Head Office and FB, Twitter etc. Publicly naming and shaming them usually works if HO and store doesn't do anything. Also call the manufacturer telling them WM is not accepting their cpns.

walmart needs to train their csms and cashiers better, its crazy how different each one reacts to coupons.

Does anybody have the number for the head office? Lately our Walmart sucks !!!! They now say that I can't price match and use a coupon. That the manager calls it double dipping. Funny I called 1 800 Walmart by accident got the states she gave me one number and the guy said that it was bs and that they do price match and take coupons. I would like to confirm this with head office before I lose it in Walmart. He also said managers can't make their own rules. A policy is Canada wide not store to store. He said the only thing a manager gets to decide is limiting quantity or how far each store will price match for distance to their store. Ty for any help

Walmart Canada has an ad match guarantee (hate it when people call it price matching: Walmart Canada does NOT price match, they AD match); Walmart Canada does not have a coupon policy (they have guidelines for the cashiers to follow, however, they do not have a policy like the U.S. Walmart's do).
As with any of the policies or guidelines, store managers have final say in whether an ad match can or cannot be done; if a coupon can or cannot be used. Walmart Canada head office empowers their store managers to run their stores as they see fit.
The U.S. head office of Walmart does NOT speak for the Canadian Walmart stores. Walmart in the U.S. and Walmart in Canada run as separate business entities, so not all polices and procedures and guidelines are the same between the 2 countries.
However, ad matches and manufacturer coupons can be combined. It is with ad matches and competitor coupons where it is not the same: when it is a competitor coupon, the coupon is treated as, and entered as, an ad match. Therefore, when a competitor's coupon is used, the customer either gets to ad match or they get to use the competitor's coupon, but not both. It's one or the other. But with a manufacturer's coupon, there shouldn't be this issue when someone has an ad match as well.
