It is October, that spooktacular month of the year. So Let's start things off with a discussion of spooky places
1) Aokigahara: Known as the Suicide Forest. This forest came to be when Mt Fuji erupted centuries ago. Many electronics and compasses do not work there due to the nature of the volcanic ash that has permeated the ground for centuries. It is known for being a popular suicide spot, with hundreds of suicides per year. The forest has long being considered to have an association with Yurei (angry ghosts) and other monsters. In the 19th century, it was not unheard of for the old and young to be abandoned there by families who could not care for them anymore. This thread is currently associated with: N/Ahttp://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-...stRecentReview

2) Slaghtaverty Dolmen
Also known as the giant's grave. Supposedly the resting place of Abhartach. Abhartach was a chieftain in a town now called Garvagh in County Derry, North Ireland. He was a cruel tyrant and was said to have practiced evil magics. He was slain by a neighbouring chieftain, in some stories Finn McCool and in others Cathain. He was buried upright as was the custom for a celtic chieftain. but the next day He rose from the grave and demanded the blood from the wrists of his subjects to sustain him. The chieftain slew him again but he arose once more and demanded the tribute. The chieftain then consulted with either a druid or a christian saint, depending on the telling, and was instructed to kill Abhartach with a sword made of Yew wood, then bury him facing downward and surround the grave with thorns and a heavy rock. For Abhartach had become one of the marbh bheo, the walking dead and could not truly be destroyed, only suspended..
The land is still avoided to this day by the locals who speak of the man buried 3 times.Last edited by gryphon; Tue, Oct 4th, 2016 at 11:28 PM.

Taunton Mental Hospital located in Taunton, Massachusetts. Opened in 1854 the Hospitals main building has been abandoned since 1975. The location is known to be very haunted. Who would explore this place?
