I will be going to Cuba in two weeks and wanted to know what is the best thing to bring for them (besides money)?
I read there are no tampons in Cuba. Any other suggestions of what they really need? I would love to hear back from anyone who has been in the past year. Any travel tips greatly appreciated.
I was there 14 years ago so I know about the food. Just curious about everything else. This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by barbis9; Sun, Mar 26th, 2017 at 08:29 AM.

Peanut Butter and Ketchup. If you enjoy either of these, bring your own. They only have their local varieties, which is quite, quite different than what we are use to in Canada and the States.
Other than that...enjoy the cigars...enjoy the rum and the Sun!Last edited by danger_dan; Tue, Apr 4th, 2017 at 08:24 AM.

I was just asking my colleague about that - shes leaving tomorrow for a week in cuba. Shes taking with her panty hose, deodorants, toothpaste, floss, brushes, soaps, conditioner and shampoos, sanitary pads and tampons, work gloves, black hair ties, and her own snacks for the evening. Its small stuff for us (most of the stuff you can find at the dollar store) but she said the average monthly salary there is $20, so the staff and grounds keepers appreciate the gifts.
