Took the cat out for a walk & sat with him on the bench watching the tourists. That's when he noticed the pigeons ( idiot neighbour who complains about the building staff not keeping the place spotless is feeding them). Quincy cat has been watching them from the window for the last couple of weeks, so he was quite obsessed. I decided to let him get closer to the pigeons (he was on a leash, so couldn't do any damage & downtown pigeons are a hardy sort, not likely to be scared by a silly little cat). Needless to say, my Quincy is a great big scaredy cat. When we got within 10 ft of the pigeon, he stiffened & the tip of his tail twitched. The pigeon turned to look at him & that was the end of his bravery. Poor cat was so scared he hid behind me, then clung to me when I held him. So much for the great fearless hunter. Guess he'll have to stick with ridding the world of fruit flies.

I was at my trailer this weekend. I really hate not having computer access.

Ok you guys.. since everyone seems to be able to re-claim the May hunt words (even if they are not worth double) I went back 40 pages and re-found all the hunt words! LOL
I have put the May hunt up on the wiki UNDER the June hunt. I didn't put it in bold, because I am telling you all here. So get re-claiming quick before they change their minds!

They are all there, and there are a few new June Hunt words up too that were from the thread. So check it against your lists.

So far none of the May words have been double for me.

My due date is August 25. I doubt I will make it that far My first was born 2 weeks early, my second 3+ weeks early. I am so big this time I am thinking probably beginning of August. *hugs*

Hope everyone had a good weekend. rained here all weekend pretty much, but had a good one. Kids were at in laws, and dh and went shopping and out for supper. Was a nice break.

gonna be taking dd to drs. she seems to be depressed I think she came home from in laws and was crying even though 2 min. before was happy. Then again at bedtime, shes says she doesnt know why but just cant stop. So making appt. for her. My mom and 2 sis's are manic depressive (think thats the dioagnose) and depression runs on dh side as well. So if anything is wrong would like to do something, though dont know what.

Morning all.

I finally got the lawn mower to work and cut the grass in the back. No more thrills with it tickling me backside as I walk though it.

The pool is almost ready, it is still cloudy. I put the clairifying chems in but they didn't work.. They were from last year, so might not be good. I need to give it a good back washing and then try again. Still not nice enough to swim, so it si ok. Of course the kids would go in if it was ready. I just might do the vaccuming tonight, and though in more shock and let them go in tomorrow if the realy want to. They will stir up the water more and it may help.

Bill and Jim were a couple of Newfie drinking buddies who worked as airplane mechanics in Gander , NFLD. One day the airport was fogged in and they were stuck in the hangar with nothing to do. Bill said, "Man, I wish we had something to drink!"

Jim says "Me too. Y'know, I've heard you can drink jet fuel and get a buzz. --- You wanna try it?" So they pour themselves a couple of glasses of high octane hooch and Get completely smashed. BOB & THE BLONDE

Bob, a handsome dude, walked into a sports bar around 9:58 pm. He sat down next to a blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV.

The 10 pm news was coming on. The news crew was covering the story of a man on the ledge of a large building preparing to jump.
The blonde looked at Bob and said, "Do you think he'll jump?"

Bob said, "You know, I bet he'll jump."

The blonde replied, "Well, I bet he won't."

Bob placed a $20 bill on the bar and said, "You're on!"
Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar, the guy on the ledge did a swan dive off the building, falling to his death.

The blonde was very upset, but willingly handed her $20 to Bob, saying, "Fair's fair. Here's your money."

Bob replied, "I can't take your money. I saw this earlier on the 5 pm news, and so I knew he would jump."

The blonde replied, "I did too, but didn't think he'd do it again."

Ok I need some parents advice LOL Since you all r my second family (oh god I jsut admitted that).

So this manager at work comes in and screams at us night staff. Only us no other shift. If someone else doesnt do something I get blamed for it (and that I should know better) then get written up. I cant handle being treated like a 5 year old and do this or do that. She expects so much out of our shift since no other shift does anything and we have to pick up the slack. She doesnt appreciate anything we do such as last night i cleaned the ovens plus the whole kitchen and she just starts pointing out what the other guy didnt do and gets me in trouble. I consider this harrassment - we ve all gone to other managers and told them and they all just shrug it off. She keeps threatening to fire us or cut our pays (hmm sounds familiar thats right i still havent gotten paid the 200$ they owe me). She comes in every morning and yells at us (even customers have complained).

Should I just ignore her or should I go higher up. I cant stand it anymore - Im trying to get my shifts changed to afternoons but shes the one that fills out the paper work and she wont let it go thu.

Ricki, I would definately be going higher up. If you haven't done so already, write times and dates of all the incidents that are occurring. Also, ask your co-workers if they would be witnesses for you. I would report it definately as harrassment. This woman needs to be punished for what she is putting her employees through. It is ridiculous, especially when customers start complaining about her behaviour. I am not speaking as a parent, but as a former supervisor/manager. No one deserves to be treated like that, and no one has the right to reat anyone like that.

What a weekend!! Beautiful on Saturday and then threatening rain all day yesterday. I was a little silly on Saturday and let my thighs and knees burn ... it hurts to stand up because of the rush of blood. Oh, well. I don't have any sympathy for myself. I should know better. Afterall, I made sure DS had plenty of sunscreen on, so I should have done the same for myself.
