Than you for your response
The train has already arrived home, it went to 3 other riders after the person in question so they have had more than a month already to inform me that they did not add the BP so I am assuming they simply forgot.
I have no plans on running or riding any more trains due to what has been happening on SC as of late, so that's not an option either.
I will ask her directly to send the BP which will unfortunately be at her own cost, and if she refuses, then a neutral it is.
I'm not one for stepping around a trade rating issue and will rate it as deserved.

I normally do an RTS. And that could be for too many replacements, too many expired/expiring coupons, no BP. And I do leave a neutral rating, I don't think a negative is entirely fair, because you can't give them the chance to fix the situation due to the time sensitivity of the train, because who knows if they'll mail you anything back? I also include in my train rules your envie will be returned to you for these reasons, it's usually in big red bold letters lol
It's unfortunate, but it's not fair to the 9 other people riding to have to wait 6+ weeks instead of 4 from the day they mailed their train to get their envie back. If they forgot 1-2 coupons for someone, or it was a genuine accident, I normally just replace the coupons myself just to send the train back home in time.Last edited by PinkLincoln; Tue, Dec 13th, 2011 at 01:58 PM.

This was just a regular train without a few items (baby, make-up, pets, that sort of thing)

If there were ppl after, did everyone put their name on the BP?
I had one where the person told me they put in two stamps for a heavier envie as they had no P stamps, when the envie arrived, it was minus a BP. Of course no one knew anything about it
The person after them eventually admitted the bigger stamps must have 'fallen out' because she wondered where she got them, despite the rider before saying she put them in a ziploc because the little paper envie I included had ripped

The other riders wrote their names across the stamp frame (if that makes sense), put them in a smaller envie, wrote their name on that, and then even marked it on the paper.
The rider in question has not been online since the end of November, so I have not received any response at this point.

Need an opinion.
What do you do for feedback when you get a VWT back and riders sent you completely the wrong coupons?
I had BOGO VH Steamers on my list. One rider sent me 1.00 VH Steamers coupons. Another rider sent me a 2.00 Caltrate(WTH?), .75 Aussie, a BOGO Glade from an insert, and another coupons. None of which were on my WLs or even remotely close to anything on my WL.
Ask the rider to resend? Ask the conductor to resend? Let it go?

First I would contact the conductor. It is their train so out of respect they should know whats going on. Plus is it possible coupons got mixed up somehow? Did someone get your bundle and you got someone elses? For example the conductor could have taken the coupons out of the package to verify and then put them back in the wrong bundle?
After contacting the conductor, I would also contact the rider. Perhaps it was an error on their behalf. I've had that happen to many times to count. I usually let it slide for 1 coupon but if all of them are wrong, I'd ask them to send to replacements to you directly.

I too need an opinion.
I am in the middle of a trade with someone, and today I got a pm saying the she received her end and would now send mine in the mail today. There were never any agreements for her to send after she received (I actually thought about doing it the other way around) and so I just assumed that she was sending right away.
Obviously I have to wait to see if I get my end and if I don't of course I know what I will do. But when (and if) I receive my end, how should I rate her??

That depends on a number of things. Some conductors dont check, rare but it happens. If a rider sealed all their bundles, the conductor may not have opened them or like I said before maybe 2 bundles got switched accidently.
Lots of things could have happened.
On 1 of my trains, I had a rider PM to say she got all wrong coupons from 1 rider. I asked her which rider they were from but she never answered. I felt so bad that I somehow missed something so huge that I sent her an envie of 10-12 wishlist coupons from my personal stash, only to find out a day after re-sending the coupon bundle that she was referring to was the bundle SHE sent for another rider! She apparently didn't read the label closely and didn't check the thread saying I was sending any coupons sent to a certain rider back to the original senders. So, the bundle she complained didn't have any right coupons wasn't even for her, it was FROM her.

I hear you. It's become very difficult to police trains, even with experienced riders.
It's not unusual for someone to send coupons with a wrong one in a bundle. I usually let one wrong coupon go. If all the coupons from one person to another are wrong or missing completely, I contact the person and give them the opportunity to fix things. If they want to fix things, great. If they don't, then negative or neutral FB is due. There is a disclaimer on all my trains that I am not responsible if another rider doesn't follow the rules and this is exactly the reason why.
I no longer fix others mistakes as there are too many. I'd much rather have a stamp than a useless coupon.
However, I've been known to send wrong coupons, by accident, but always fix it when the situation is brought to my attention.I often do my couponing in the middle of the night and something that looks great at midnight might not look so good in the clear light of day.
Ask the person to fix their mistake directly. If they won't then depending on how many wrong coupons, neutral or negative FB.
I'm not running any more trains and will not be riding much if at all in the new year.Kind of a sad resolution, but I am too tired of the issues on trains, even VWL trains. And trading...no bad experiences, but am now wary due to recent events of an experienced trader scamming.

Just wait a bit. I would just give a positive FB as long as it doesn't take long to get the coupons. Don't trade with this person again, but maybe ask why she held things when there wasn't an agreement to do that. I like to clarify exactly when both parties will send their envelopes during the negotiation.

I personally would let it go....and keep an eye on the conductor and the person that send you the wrong coupons....(give them the benefit of the doubt, and let the conductor know) It happen to me on a train where i got EXP coupons!!
, but hey who in the world is perfect????

Thanks guys.
I have sent the wrong coupon by mistake as well. It happens and I just let those ones go when I am on the receiving end. This was all the coupons from one rider though and it wasn't like it was a substitution for something on my WL. These particular products weren't on my WL at all.
I sent the rider a PM.
I am not a big fan of leaving neutral or negative feedback. However, I have been screwed over by other riders on trains lately only to find out later that many people had issues with that rider before me but didn't leave feedback.
