Trades are further complicated by other factors such as:
Several people pm'ing a trader for coupons at the same time, but as we all know here, some people may or may not be serious inquirers, and the trader with the coupons has to wade through multiple messages and offers before a serious trade is negotiated.
If you're learning how to trade, you will encounter that sometimes. And there are also serious traders that suddenly leave you dangling because something comes up, and they don't get back to you for weeks, so the trade is up in the air, and you've got to decide what to do with the coupons when somebody else wants to trade for them.
Add to that, when you have to update your tradelist with coupons added and deleted as necessary, or in the event you can't find one that's misplaced somewhere. So, trading is not for the faint of heart. It requires persistence and patience for all concerned, but in the end it's worth it all, I think.
After reading some of the above posts, I am reconsidering whether or not to continue to accept stamps in return for coupons, including High-Value and Bundles. I'd hate to come under condemnation or disapproval by other members if they thought I expected too many stamps (as per my Tradelist notes). So maybe it's best just to trade $ for $, HV for HV, instead of dealing with stamps at all. It would sure make things easier for me; and I'd be much better off getting equal value in a coupon trade.
Well, something to think about for 2011.

my thoughts exactly I was reading everything and saying to myself I hope people don't think I am requesting too much but have always gone by the guidlines that areorignally posted for trading. It does get VERY confussing. I think at times we have to realize that some people maybe not ripping people off but just getting confused
I actually had that happen where someone offered a low amount of stamps and she was actually typing faster then thinking and she said it totally made sense and we moved forward onto a great trade!

As a newbie, if it were not for the fact that people were willing to trade for stamps or small GC's, I would not have been able to trade. Please don't stop trading this way. I believe the posted guidelines are very fair and even as a newbie I realize that some coupons are worth more than others. (i.e. the 3/$9 P & G). Being able to trade for stamps was/is a blessing....

I am a great coupon trader.I mail ALL trades quickly, and I think asking the same in return is only fair.I understand things come up,and they get delayed once in a while,as it happens, but I PM the member to let them know.On more than one occasion I have sent out trades when i say I am gonna, and though the other member SAYS they are sending,I believe they have waited for my trade to arrive before they send their part. This is NOT RIGHT,if you don't think I am an honest trader for whatever reason, the least you can do is PM and tell me you don't feel comfortable sending until you have received. This is more with FPC/HV/GC Trades.

I have to agree, I trade in stamps as I can never find many coupons. Without stamps trading I wouldn't be able to trade much

I think a line of her addy should be added, minor or not. A line isn't going to give out any information. I'm glad this is being dealt with as it should of been months ago after her first few warnings and taken more seriously when it was passed along. I wasn't treated very nicely about it either. Either way im glad it is now dealt with. I HATE people being used and taken advantage of. It makes me wonder how many newbies were scared off
