Great idea to post the trade-in-progress on the person's wall. If they are honest, they will not mind. And of course also post in the new sticky:
Trader Tracking List - thanks Sally888!
I lost out on 9 FPCs. Sulley1234 took advantage of my trusting nature, but I will be more careful from now on, you can be sure.

Well, it's a relief to see some house-cleaning being done here, and that's for the best for the real members of SC. Some good is coming out of all this trouble and loss.
BAN the scammers and wolves-in-sheep's-clothing...bunch of con-artists.
It seems to me that for too long these problems have been building because of the good nature of the honest persons here on SC, as compared to the ruthless nature of the scammers. The perfect victims are quiet and docile; we wait, we are polite & co-operative (more easily manipulated), we try every possible thing first before we become suspicious, we don't confront until well after the fact, and usually only when others are supportive. Victims usually feel they have no rights, and are not sure how to get fair & just treatment. So the internet wolves come along, single us out, make a killing and get away with it too. It's a good thing that people finally spoke out on here about Sulley1234, and others; otherwise, who knows how many more would have been defrauded. Scammers are highly intelligent; they've got their conning skills and plans fine-honed. We have to be smart too.
For me, the newbie trade thread won't work, because it's too time-consuming and confusing to read through all the posts, and remember things exactly. I'll check the Wall of the trader instead for trade postings there. That way, I'll be able to keep the info together better, and find it again easily if necessary.
Postcards, anyone?( Valiant, the valley-ant )

This postal strike is a huge hassle in terms of giving the benefit of the doubt about time-frames.
As I posted a few pages back, one of my trades came back to me owing postage. So I stamped the envelope again and went to send it back out. Also sent a PM about it. I wasn't troubled about not receiving their end - but now I am for several reasons (I mentioned some of them before.)
1. One of the coupons she was sending me (x several of them) apparently doesn't exist. A version, US only internet printable, does - but there isn't an equivalent in Canada. And the manufacturer confirms this (in fact, they sent me a $5 coupon instead because there are no other denominations used in Canada for that brand.)
2. I've had absolutely no reply to PMs. They've been online several times since.
3. The user signed up here the day before the trade, has no feedback and no posts, and wanted FPCs. Of course, being new and getting a lot of trade requests, these facts escaped my attention. (no feedback - fine. I've had several good trades, including first-timers.) But they still have no feedback or posts. And without posts, how would someone come to view their "about me" page? There are several views - hence I suspect several other trading partners also waiting.
4. The user seemingly found SC through a Facebook page/group where they were trolling for the exact same FPC the day before signing up here.
5. The user has two Facebook accounts - one with no info, and one under a completely different last name than the one I was given.
I'm waiting on three pre-strike trades right now, which is really disappointing. Especially since at least one of those has coupons expiring in 2 weeks and for items that were on sale until today. So the strike nonsense is really disheartening. On the other hand, I have no doubts at this point about the other parties. Just this one. And, as luck would have it, this was the evelope that came back to me. My gut told me to wait, and so I'm waiting - not giving a neg or making a case of it for a little while yet. But it's been now over 1 month - and not a peep. My gut also told me not to put the re-stamped envie back in the mail, so I have it here. If I do get a response or an evelope I will send out immediately, with extras. If I don't, then I'm technically not out anything - except the coupons that expire soon and it's now too late to send anywhere. And the fact that other people asked for those same coupons after the trade with her - so it sucks that they'll be useless.
The amount of apparent scammers on here really is disheartening. Especially people who are doing it over and over again.
ETA: The other pre-strike trades I'm waiting on were done a week after this one - so this had most of a week to get here befor e the lockout. And things mailed the same day, or the next day, from as far as BC arrived way before the lockout.Last edited by uniquelyme; Fri, Jul 8th, 2011 at 01:28 AM.

Do not trade with ANYONE giving an address similar to this one. We will not be scammed by this low life anymore. Please let me know if anyone files a report with their local police.
