I used that $5 Gillette coupon @ Walmart last weekend with no problems at all. Good for you for contacting H.O. - that's crap. LOL - try to get a GC out of them for your trouble, too.
Better to remain silent & be thought a fool than to open your mouth & confirm it.

Oh gosh that reminds me of the problems we all used to have with the Olay coupon. Bummer.

Good for you - I dislike cashiers who behave as if you are trying to scam them out of $$$. I hope you get a GC from them for the trouble.
Reps and thumbs up to you!The average dog

I agree wm cashiers are lack of customer service skills and kinda lack of language interpretation skills as well... most of the times I have to explain what the coupons say. But I think Zellers is worse than walmart...they won't take any coupons that exceed the value of the product..even for 1 cent less!!
I think RCSS cashiers are the best in accepting coupons...they always take my coupons
One day I went to London Drugs to redeem my huggies' bath and product coupon. I picked up one bottle of baby lotion. The customer service specialist said: this is not the product indicated in the coupon. This is not bath and body product. I asked her " where do you apply this lotion to? to your body right? So , it is a body product." And she became speechless and finally took my coupons.

I used mine with no problem for the Foamy! Thats crap!
I got denied at Sarnia, ON WM for the Venus/satin care bonus $5 that on sale, they said its not the same as on the $4off coupon & wont take the $1.50off coupon either! the cashier had the nerve to say I was getting a deal b/c of the bonus Satin Care! WTH!
I saw many here that used the $4off & a $1off for Satincare & get it for FREE!
I'm going to Zellers tomorrow & PM & see how I do with them! LOL

Thanks for the apology. I just read a lot of posts by people who go out of their way to be rude about all customer service reps. Just want to set the record straight when I can. But you were right, about the coupon use. You should just call the store manager and get it corrected. Policy is dont fight make it right, so if you call they should give you a free meal on your next visit!

LOL! In that case, I certainly hope your staff are trained better than the average burger-slinger. Especially since you're a member here, so I presume have a solid grasp of how coupons work ...
I've had issues with BK & McD's coupons over the years ...
Actually, last time I used a coupie @ BK, they tried to refuse it - I made such a stink (in the middle of their lunch rush) that the manager finally said "give it to her & get her out of here." In my hearing, no less! So I wrote a rather pithy letter to HO ... big surprise, never heard a word back from them. Now I go to the Wendy's across the street.
Customer service seems to be an oxymoron these days.
Oh, yeah - before anyone gets offended, my very first paying job (aside from paper routes) was as a burger-slinger @ McD's. Definitely NOT the McJob for me! LOL
Then again, customer service standards seem to have changed in the last 25 years ... back then it was "Rule 1 - the customer is always right. Rule 2 - if in doubt, refer to Rule 1"Last edited by Kaldirris; Wed, Sep 30th, 2009 at 05:12 PM.

Thanks Kaldirris. :D
My hubby worked for McD a long time ago and his best friend is still a manager at McD. I, myself, have never worked in a fast food place. So yes, I do know how some cashiers/managers feel and would never intentional hurt their feelings.
