I used that $5 Gillette coupon @ Walmart last weekend with no problems at all. Good for you for contacting H.O. - that's crap. LOL - try to get a GC out of them for your trouble, too.

Good for you - I dislike cashiers who behave as if you are trying to scam them out of $$$. I hope you get a GC from them for the trouble.

I plan on using the coupon there. I've seen that people on here have been able to use this coupon for the foamy shaving cream not before I went though, I noticed that this morning and it just irritated me a little more. It should be a hit or miss situation. They are a business running under the name Walmart and everything should be operated the same at every location none of this making up their own rules!
I agree wm cashiers are lack of customer service skills and kinda lack of language interpretation skills as well... most of the times I have to explain what the coupons say. But I think Zellers is worse than walmart...they won't take any coupons that exceed the value of the product..even for 1 cent less!!

I think RCSS cashiers are the best in accepting coupons...they always take my coupons

One day I went to London Drugs to redeem my huggies' bath and product coupon. I picked up one bottle of baby lotion. The customer service specialist said: this is not the product indicated in the coupon. This is not bath and body product. I asked her " where do you apply this lotion to? to your body right? So , it is a body product." And she became speechless and finally took my coupons.

I used mine with no problem for the Foamy! Thats crap!

I got denied at Sarnia, ON WM for the Venus/satin care bonus $5 that on sale, they said its not the same as on the $4off coupon & wont take the $1.50off coupon either! the cashier had the nerve to say I was getting a deal b/c of the bonus Satin Care! WTH!

I saw many here that used the $4off & a $1off for Satincare & get it for FREE!

I'm going to Zellers tomorrow & PM & see how I do with them! LOL

please dont be so rude. I am a manager at Burger King and took great offense to your inconsiderate comment. I am a fully functioning individual, I can read, write, and even look at pictures! It's amazing though how my job defines me!

I wanted the croissant and it was not the exception. We argued with the cashier and the manager. They both said the croissant is not pictured in the coupon so they can't give it to us. We were like "can't you read?" Apparently, cashiers are not required to read just look at pictures!! Geez.

Sorry if I offended you. I was not trying to be rude. We did not said "can't you read" to the cashier but that was how I felt like. Needless to say I didn't bother argueing. But you've got to agree it is frustrating sometimes.

So before going to Wal-Mart last night I had emailed them to make sure they would accept printable coupons and had the name of a lady and number in case they wouldn't accept them. I didn't have any problems with my printables though. I wanted to get the Gillette Foamy shaving cream it was $1.96 I had 9 of them and 3 coupons. The cashier took 1 look at the coupon, I don't even think she read it and said she couldn't take it because it wasn't a product from the picture. I replied that it said "Save $5.00 when you buy ANY three Gillette Products" and she like was rude she called over one of the CSR's (I think she said) when she came over I tried to explain it to her but the cashier felt the need to talk louder than me so I couldn't explain it. In the end they refused the coupon. I just don't get what they think the wording ANY means. I even told them Gillette obviously has so many products they can't list them all on a coupon but no go. I ended up putting it all back.

I never shop at Wal-Mart and probably never will again. I was embarassed as I had to wait in line to use that coupon while she was rude to me. In my opinion the coupon should have been honoured no problems. They had no problem taking my other coupons.
Where do you live? Sounds like my Wal-Mart...

Thanks for the apology. I just read a lot of posts by people who go out of their way to be rude about all customer service reps. Just want to set the record straight when I can. But you were right, about the coupon use. You should just call the store manager and get it corrected. Policy is dont fight make it right, so if you call they should give you a free meal on your next visit!

There are plenty of other BK in my area so I stopped eating at that particular location for years now. The staff and manager there are not very friendly anyway.

LOL! In that case, I certainly hope your staff are trained better than the average burger-slinger. Especially since you're a member here, so I presume have a solid grasp of how coupons work ...
I've had issues with BK & McD's coupons over the years ...
Actually, last time I used a coupie @ BK, they tried to refuse it - I made such a stink (in the middle of their lunch rush) that the manager finally said "give it to her & get her out of here." In my hearing, no less! So I wrote a rather pithy letter to HO ... big surprise, never heard a word back from them. Now I go to the Wendy's across the street.

Customer service seems to be an oxymoron these days.

Oh, yeah - before anyone gets offended, my very first paying job (aside from paper routes) was as a burger-slinger @ McD's. Definitely NOT the McJob for me! LOL
Then again, customer service standards seem to have changed in the last 25 years ... back then it was "Rule 1 - the customer is always right. Rule 2 - if in doubt, refer to Rule 1"

    Thanks Kaldirris. :D
My hubby worked for McD a long time ago and his best friend is still a manager at McD. I, myself, have never worked in a fast food place. So yes, I do know how some cashiers/managers feel and would never intentional hurt their feelings.
