This Policy is 100% Province to Province only, say nothing about that even all Canadian Superstores are part of one and the same company - Loblaws, but they have 3 independent branches with their own stores' policies, as well as a price match and coupons policies: Western Canadian Superstore, Atlantic Superstore and Real Canadian Superstore. Here in Ontario, you can stack both coupons only if you find a nice cashier.

I guess I jinxed myself, was turned down by a cashier when I tried to stack store coupon and save.ca coupon for Aveeno lotion @ westwinds, calgary, I broke the cardinal rule of trying to stack with experienced/career cashiers, its always easy with young/parttime cashiers, learned my lesson

You should definitely be able to use a manufacturer's cpn + in store coupon (from flyer) at Loblaws. They are inputted differently into the system as well. The instore coupon does not count as a manufacturer's cpn and has to be scanned. Where as other coupons need to be inputted manually.

Interesting. I e-mailed RCSS in October and received an e-mail from RCSS West saying store coupons cannot be combined with mfr coupons. At the Superstore on 104th in Surrey, the customer service manager staunchly refuses to accept more than one coupon and isn't very 'nice' either.
Cashiers gets blamed for a lot of things, but I don't think this is a cashier issue. It's an issue of Superstore not having a consistent policy and their employees not being given the correct tools to do their jobs.Last edited by DianneS; Thu, Jan 6th, 2011 at 12:52 PM.

I use FPCs on tax-free days because it is less complicated but RCSS, just like any other store, should not be charging tax on items purchased with an FPC.
This is actually a violation of Canadian Tax policy.
From CRA:
Coupons that are not for a specific single monetary discount will be treated in the same way as coupons that do not include the GST. These coupons will reduce the selling price of an item before the GST is calculated. Therefore, retailers will deduct the value of the coupon from the selling price prior to calculating any GST payable.
These coupons may:
- offer a certain percentage off the price of an item (for example, a coupon to receive 10% off the next purchase);
- offer an item for no charge if another item is purchased (for example, two-for-one coupons);
- contain more than one monetary discount (for example, 50 cents off a 250 ml bottle of pop, or $1 off a 500 ml bottle of pop); and
- be used for goods and services that are taxable, as well as zero-rated or exempt.
You can read more about it here on the CRA website:

In Nov RCSS had their Dove shampoo/conditioners on sale for $2.99 each. There were manufacturer coupons for $2 off wub2 and in-store coupons for $2 off wub 2. So I picked up 6 bottles planning to spend $0.99 on each bottle. I was rejected by the cashier. I asked to speak with the supervisor and the assistant manager spoke with me and said the manufacturer coupon and instore coupon could not be combined. I asked her when their policy changed. She said it's always been this way. I told her that was untrue as I've done this before here and head office was contacted about it before too because of previous problems I had. She said they don't accept the two together but I could write something on the comment card and they would contact head office and look into it. I live about 5 min from the store and the phone was ringing when I got home but I missed it-caller display showed RCSS but I was too tired to call them back and they did not leave a msg. The assistant manager called a few days later and left a msg and said after some talk back and forth between head office and them it was agreed that the two coupons cannot be combined. SO I emailed head office that same day to find out WTH and never got a response back!! I really hate that particular store!! I always have problems there.

All the teenagers around here call it the "Stupid Store". Not very nice, I know, however I can't believe that that even the e-mails from their Western Canada HO say completely different things about their coupon policy from one month to the next. Not only do they not have a written coupon policy, I don't actually believe they have a policy at all!
