Anyone interested in a weight loss competition??

Hi All,

I soooo need to get back into shape so I thought I would see if anyone in my SC family would like to join me.

I have done some biggest loser type competitions on a weight loss site before and found that it works for me. That could be because I am competitive and hate to let my team down...lol. So anyways, I thought maybe we could start the same thing here and make some teams up with ppl from SC.

What are everyones thoughts? Anyone interested in a friendly weight loss competition?

*UPDATE* How about a January 5th start date since the show premieres that night (new season)?

I'm in for a January start...I have been off work since Sept and have packed on the pounds *pout*

Maybe we could put a couple of bucks a week [or even a coupon or two to make up a really good envie instead] and after say 12 weeks we could have an independent panel of SC judges pick a first, second and third place winner and split the coupons/cash.

I'm also in if it starts in January, i need to lose weight in order to be able to try and start a family and health reasons.

I agree January start will be much better. I started working out BUT my diet during the month of December would not let me lose any weight...lol.

Should we have prizes or just teams competiting against each other?

If we decide on prizes we will have to figure out a way to make sure the weigh-ins are fair.

Good idea! I think if there is a prize we might be a little more motivated to lose.

Cash/coupons wouldn't be mandatory to participate, only to win cash or coupons. And the overall winner wouldn't have to be in the cash/coupon part of the competition.

Maybe it wouldn't have to be total pounds (some might have to lose more than others) but best overall improvement???

I think we still need to have it as a weight loss but not by pounds. I think weight loss percentage (like biggest loser) would work that way it is fair for those who don't have as much to lose.

The new biggest loser season starts on Jan. 5th so we can set that as our date.
