well what an awful evening...just made it home on the last ferry for today and the winds are now 73km/hr with 127/km gust....rain...the ocean is very rough...it's so windy the house is shaking and the bedroom doors are knocking...the wind is suppose to diminish overnight...there's a WARM front coming in so suppose to be a really nice weekend...I hope my veggies are going to be okay...

It was 30 here again today. I thought it would cool off with the cloud cover, but it just felt muggy and hot. It is suppose to drop to 25 tomorrow which will be better.

It's not easy, luckily I learned most of it when I lived in ONT, when there's frost warnings or really high winds or extreme rain I keep them covered in plastic...I've had to baby them a lot...the real test will be the tomatoes...I'll be very surprised as well if they grow!! I only have 2 plants, I just do it for fun/something to do...its fun planting something, watching it grow and turn into something edible from a tiny seed or plant. I wish it was warm enough to grow grapes potatoes grow best here..

...wind is my nemesis....it turned out to be an okay day +20..but again windy (not as windy as yesterday!!) but the wind has dropped out completely this evening so its going to be a gorgeous night
