I, too, only remember a smartcanuck saying that they printed their printable coupons onto the remaining save.ca paper because they thought that the cashiers they dealt with would be more likely not to hassle them since the save.ca coupons looked more professional than internet coupons printed on regular paper AND they also didn't like wasting all the extra save.ca paper. (I just don't want this smartcanuck to be villified...because there wasn't anything on those earlier save.ca glossy papers saying that the consumer couldn't use the wasted paper for whatever purpose they chose).
It may have been a bit misleading as the cashier might have thought they were from save.ca and weren't, but I don't think this smartcanuck was meaning to do anything unlawful--they didn't indicated they were re-printing actual save.ca coupons or anything.
I must have missed the other post where someone was re-printing high value save.ca coupons -- but I just want to make sure everyone on here knows that two different members might be being referenced here.

why would you print on save.ca paper though? that is just asking for it. Buy some paper for goodness sakes.

So let me see if I get this straight, they were printing non-save.ca coupons on save.ca paper with the save.ca note on the back of each coupon where save.ca addresses the retailer asking them to accept the coupon??!
If that's the case, then the word "misleading" is quite the understatement here.

Please tell me that's not what happened so that I'll feel better.

Seriously? This is just getting ridiculous.
Ive heard a few members complain about it.
Seriously destroying the coupon system for the rest of us. And I know I live off coupons and its whether I get food each week I can just imagine what its like for those who have children.
If someone gets caught copying or misusing coupons like this its classified as fraud and they can be charged. I honestly hope they get caught and get charged for this stupid act. Please! Vote for me! You know what's the worst part, it's the people that do this (abuse coupons) that will complain and complain when save.ca changes their rules, or stores don't accept their coupons.

Sunraven, i think before it just had "save.ca" printed on the paper and nothing else where there were no coupons (save.ca made changes after that--maybe from reading the thread on smartcanucks??).
You can probably find the thread if you do a search but from what I remember reading, I'm pretty sure this person wasn't trying to abuse the system. It sounded like they were trying to utilize the rest of the wasted paper AND they thought cashiers wouldn't hassle them as much because the paper was glossy and looked less like valid internet printed coupons that they were getting hassled for trying to use.
Again, just don't want someone who may not have thought out all the consequences of doing this lumped in with someone who is willfully abusing the system.
