I requested to close my Amazon Payments account. I have a balance of $223.07 in my amazon.com account- that had better not be affected. I know the two accounts are linked.

It's going to kill me to not be able to do the ContentGalore and QuestionSwami HITs-- especially since QuestionSwami pays over 30 cents to grade articles, and I love doing it.
Ahh...I feel very whiney right now. lol

OK, I got it all straightened out. It doesn't look like I'm going to be making much money now.Last edited by iAmBrendaLee; Mon, Aug 23rd, 2010 at 04:25 PM.

Frustrating.
I was able to use mturk all day, and now I'm getting this message:
"Your Amazon Payments account has been suspended
You will not be able to use Amazon Mechanical Turk until your Amazon Payments account is in good standing. Please contact customer service."

Straightened out...again. If the HITs that have approved over the past couple of days will pay, it'll be all good.

I'm honestly a little surprised that they are letting you keep the money.
I thought that you had closed your account?Disney Planner Extraordinaire! - Book your Disney Vacation with us and receive a FREE Disney Gift Card!

Well they can't just take the money. lol It's in my amazon.com account as a gift card balance along with gift codes I've added from other sources. If they took that money now, it'd be stealing, and I'd put up a pretty big fuss.

I closed my Amazon Payments account. It reopened again when I transferred money from mturk to amazon.com, but with limited functionality as I assume it's supposed to be for Canadians.

There's a bunch of $0.40 retaildata HITs on right now. They usually take a long time to approve, but they're good HITs.

Does anybody want to start a petition to Amazon to allow Canadian residents to be paid by Paypal? I really want to work for Mturk but it's worthless to me. Everytime I find something I want to buy, they don't ship to Canada. Or if I do find something (which is rare) the shipping costs are very expensive. It seems so stupid to allow us to do HITS but not pay us by Paypal or Direct Deposit and expect us to use a giftcard that is useless in most cases. It really frustrates me! And I don't want the option of transferring it to Amazon.ca either (not that they do that right now) as they hardly have anything on that site besides books. What do you guys think?

Hi guys, I went ahead and started a petition. The link is http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/mturk/ . The only thing is for some reason the link isn't working. It may have to be approved first. I've contacted customer service and am waiting for a reply. Just thought I'd let you know so we don't have another petition started and we have more than one going. When I know the link is working I will start a new thread for it.
