seems to me 3 or 4 hours is enough time (as opposed to the 1 minute in the Starr and McCartney contests)

Morning to all you beautiful spirits out there....thanks to everyone for their prayers and kind thoughts, both private and on these pages....
....as expected, the news wasn't good ......my sis, (the ex-nurse) and I had been discussing it, and seems the flexing of the muscles was not a good sign, but indicative of a severe brain injury....it's called "posturing", and she said there are 2 types.....decorticate and decerebrate, the second being the worst of the two......and of course, he exhibits the second one.....
.....he's off the sedation, he is running a temp due to the pneumonia which always develops when you are not moving, and he hasn't woken up...they will be doing two more tests today, including an EEG, but it's more a formality than anything else, and they'll call my niece with the results.....at that point, it's pretty much a given what needs to be done, so we'll all go down to be with him when the "assistive device are withdrawn" ( same as pulling the plug)....he could go immediately, or he could linger for as long as 3 days, when he will die of dehydration....yup, that's what happens when a person doesn't go right away.....we are kinder to our animals......
.....I can't quite believe I am writing these words in reference to my brother....last fall, when he was at Markham Fair with his AC/DC tribute band, what a show he put on.....he was at the top of his game, and I am so glad I went....
....looking back at the past few days, which seems like forever, I kinda think we lost him last Wednesday.....TR
