Just got in from Priscilla. Great show. Whoever did the costume design was either partaking of something a bit too strong for them or simply having a blast & not giving a darn. Giant cupcakes with lit candles on heads. Seriously, er, maybe not. Anyone who has great memories of going out clubbing in the 80s/90s will love the music. I have so many songs running through my head, I doubt I'll get to sleep.

Going to read through the day's fun, but I think I'll skip the recap, if that's ok. I might be tempted to post links to Madonna vids.

For people who do karate, going to Okinawa is like a trip to Mecca: something that everyone should do at least once... Okinawa is the birthplace of karate, from there it moved on to mainland Japan. I had planned to go with my Canadian Matsubayashi karate friends for about 3 years, when the seminar and commemorative event was first announced.
It's the 75 anniversary of the style, and 13th anniversary of the passing of the founder. This all coincides with a big cultural event in Okinawa. The Canadiana will be doing a demo, which hopefully will also please the officials who decide upon funding for the renovation of the home dojo of the style. It's a special time, in other words. I am glad that i will still be able to go. My husband had a stroke more than a month ago, and things were uncertain at that time. But now I am quite confident in the care that he is receiving at long term rehab. The kids who live at home are 19 and 23, and should be able to run the household, in my absence.

Anyone heard on the news about severed brake lines discovered on several cars in the Beaches, well that's been happening on my street!There was a notice from the police in my door when we got home last night! They are looking for the culprits and have asked anyone noticing any suspicious persons out there to notify them or crime stoppers!

...oh my, ecat....that's not good.....I think that same kind of thing happened elsewhere in Toronto a while back as well.....what the blazes are these people thinking?!?!?.....TR

Sorry about all the crap that showed up in my post...I thought it was a simple list so I didn't bother with the preview...I guess this teaches me to always preview my posts. That mess is the just the numbers 1-12

This should be easier to read:

Get an old box. Cut a hole for your head. Attach book, tissue box, and lamp. What are you? A "One Night Stand!"

....hehehe, good ones.....if I may, I would like to add to the list...wear a plaid shirt and cowboy hat...atach 2 pieces of toast to your shirt's front and back, and voila....a toasted Western.....LOL!!!.....TR

........OK, had appt at the doc's for 1 prescription renewal, and had him check my chest.....he said my lungs sounded like sh*t ( never heard him say that word before!!!), so 1 renewal ended up being 5 prescriptions.....antibiotics, prednisone, inhalers and my codeine pain pills....oh, and a bone density test........at least, by the end of the weekend, I should feel a difference, and maybe get my hearing back....so tired of everything sounding like I have a wet cloth draped over my head....gee, it's soooo much fun getting old......NOT!!!!....TR
