I saw Lily dog peeking her head around the corner, looking down the hallway, whining, while Quincy cat was jumping in the air, twisting, doing really scary contortions. For a minute, I thought he'd found the secret stash of catnip. Then I saw it, the intruder, a tiny speck of a fly that dared come in uninvited.

I turned to look at Lily, then heard thud, chomp, chomp, chomp. I looked at Quincy who was licking his lips.

My handsome hero has saved me once again.

So, to add to the pet-related stories: I had yesterday off, and celebrated by doing laundry and cooking all day. I baked three banana loaves in the morning, and left them to cool on the counter while I walked my son to elementary school after spoiling him with his favorite lunch. One whole block. 5 whole minutes. I walked in the door to find three embarassed looking dogs, and only 1 1/2 banana loaves....one, completely missing, not even a crumb; one nibbled all along one side; and one whole.

I dread going home tonight.......I'm sure it will be poo central!

Aw, I love fur baby stories ... here's one of mine ... many moons ago ... ok couple of decades!

Our shepherd wolf (gentlier than a lamb and 10x as sweet) big girl ...

I made Crispies treat ( a rare occasion in our house but I had such a craving)
left the pan on top of the counter, on top of the toaster oven
son of a gunn, I was doing dishes and saw the empty pan where I left it ...
well of course, cursed DH under my breathe, the pig, selfish, ... ya know what I was thinking to my self ... I didn't say anything to him but decided I'd never make again
a few days later ... we are doing dishes and dh mentions how greedy I WAS to eat all the crispies squares ...
WHAT !!!
Guess who !!! clever fur baby took the food and left the pan in place ...

and we still love her ...
