    Fedex came real early this morning and delivered a letter from hubby`s employer. Hubby has been on sick leave since June. Letter was a lay-off notice. He is 64. Oh well, such is life.

    1 book (took 8 weeks to arrive, but whatever it's free), SeabuckWonders skin care kit and 6 books from contest win.

    I have a story about the 6 books that I got, I also posted this over at the contest forum. Today I got a call from my local library that I had won 2 books as part of their summer reading contest. I was informed of this contest by my family, but didn't know what kind of prizes they had, aside from the grand prize. I showed up and it turns out I had my choice of 2 packs of books! I scored 6 books in total, I cannot believe these are secondary prizes! Hurrah! This is the year of reading!

    I didn't think that it was legal to layoff an employee while they are on medical leave?????

    His job was abolished along with 3 other employees in his department. they have all been given bumping rights. So we will see what happens.
