I can live with the points system change - 43, 42, 41 etc. The qualifying changes are long overdue , though they still have to get rid of the top 36 locked in - fastest 43 cars race!!! But the chase format is still ridiculus!!! Brian France

NASCAR ADDS WILD CARD ELEMENT TO SETTING THE CHASE FIELD; SIMPLIFIES POINTS SYSTEM
NASCAR announced Wednesday that it has added a wild card element to setting the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup field and it has simplified its points system for 2011, making it easier for fans, competitors and the industry to understand.

While the 12-driver Chase field remains intact, the final two spots will be determined by the number of wins during the first 26 races.

I go with a group of about 20 guys every year. We've been doing this for quite some time. We have everything paid for by Christmas so we don't have to worry about anything except fun money. Hope you can find someone to go with. It is a really great outing and can produce some of the best racing of the season. One downside is the weather, last year was exceptionally hot, one year it rained until tuesday.

Yeah, I was there the year it rained until Tuesday! I was totally bummed out because we had to leave on Monday night. It was kind of fun wandering around the track unimpeded though. I was able to stand on the start/finish line and in the f l a g nest!

That's just too funny!

Ya just went back and checked it out. It was shown at Paris Motor Show in 2002.Surprised I never seen it before. Well at least if they take it to Barrett-Jackson auction they'd probably double the 5 million it cost them!!!
