Of course it is this sort of stuff that probably led to me deciding against getting a puppy.

These are all skills you need if you have kids though. My brother regularly puked after meals until he was six.

Puppies are truly an excellent practise for parenting - cleaning up pee, poo and puke and dealing with crying in the middle of the night and early mornings.
Though I think the best example is of how you forget the bad stuff. If you ask FI, he will swear that our puppy only woke up early in the morning for a few weeks, not the 5+ months we got up at 7am to let him out (though he now sleeps until 2pm if you let him). This forgetfulness is exactly why people have more than one child

I think I've got all the training I need. I'm good.

I was 16 when my youngest brother was born. Practically raised him myself because my other brother was a sickly child and my parents were busy dealing with him.

I'm okay with humans and plants… but puppies/cats are best when they are someone else's property and I can just visit.

Does anyone have coupons for a shoe store? I just checked out shoes/ sandals for my kids and I walked out not knowing whether to puke or cry - 6 pairs would have cost me $300+ and that's on sale!!! (daycare wants me to bring sandals + sneakers for each kid - both of which they don't have). I literally left my boxes at the cash and said "I need to think about this!"

    Maybe it's time for feet-binding....

This explains why you and Kitty get along so well. You can leave her.

Sadly no, none that I've seen. Not even kitty shaped ones.

So Quincy is back home after a very long day. He's now missing 3 teeth (the back ones with complicated roots, of course). I ended up getting the antibiotics at the vet, since they wanted $20 for the prescription & $40 for the antibiotic, figured I wouldn't get it for $20 at a pharmacy. He's actually on a combo anitbiotic/painkiller (sounds weird to me, but hey, whatever). I'm hoping at some point I get to sleep - he started screaming the moment he saw me when I went to pick him up, stopped when he got home & crawled into his bed, & now he goes from this heart-breaking meowing to sulking. I'm hoping by tomorrow, I get my old cat back.

Which store would you be interested in?

    Visaperks offers:
Softmoc - Pay with your Visa card and you can save 20% on all regular-priced merchandise and 10% on all sale-priced merchandise (excluding taxes and shipping) purchased online.

adidas - Pay with your Visa card and you can save 25% on all regular-priced merchandise (excluding taxes and shipping) purchased online. Plus, receive FREE shipping on purchases of $100 or more. Enter promotion code: VISA2010

Or you could try Great Canadian Rebates to see if they have a cash back for online purchases from one of these stores that would make the shipping worthwhile.

Or try that other deals site that's named after a colour and see if they have any printables that you can use at payless, naturalizer etc.

Of course given that your kids are still growing like weeds at the moment, it might not be a bad idea to check out zellers or walmart to see if they have some comfy sneakers and sandals for them? Not everyone is comfortable with budget shoes though, so without knowing which brands you're interested in I can't really tell you where to look.
