Beer takes too long, since it's got low alcohol content. I would think rum from the islands would be a better bet, especially if one is in a hurry. Of course, I prefer Kahlua or a lovely liqueur that I haven't seen in a while called Swiss Chocolate Almond liqueur (yes, tasted exactly like it sounds, yummy).

Just don't down 3 Rusty Nails (Scotch and Drambuie) and then try to walk down a flight of stairs - No - you're right - I didn't dream this situation up - luckily it was long ago and far away - don't do much imbibing anymore.

Night all. Been up since 5:30am, so I think it's time for bed. Ever get to that point where you're so tired you suddenly get a second wind?
Maybe tomorrow, I'll actually get to see the sunrise, & it won't be pitch black at 9am.
Night all.

I think my best step of progress yet! In terms of how amazing it felt! Just wish I had the strength to open those darn doors to buildings-still can't quite do it. They are so heavy still for me. You should have seen the look on a person's face when I was trying to open the dentist door! lol if nothing else it provides amusement for me when people don't know why I am so weak! lol Still laughing about that! I had to manage to pull it open far enough that I could wedge my foot in between the door and then manage to push it open with my legs until I could slide in. Where is a helpful person tho when you need one? oh well.
