I get squeamish when going on picnics - I HATE sitting on grass. My Mom likes to remind me that I've always been that way. Apparently, when I was about 2, she would take me to the park & if I tripped & fell, I absolutely refused to put my hands down. I would struggle to get up, but there was no way my hands were touching either grass or dirt. I was such a prima donna.

Well, I can do most fix-it type things around the apt, clean up after the critters & have no qualms scrubbing the kitchen floor.

But, I do draw the line at camping. I refuse to call anything that involves NOT having running water & indoor plumbing a vacation. I've been to a few places in Europe - visiting relatives. I won't stay at a hotel, since the ones I can afford to stay in usually require you to share a bathroom with a stranger.

So, yeah, I guess I'm still a prima donna.

Im sorry patty, that sucks BIG time. If that was my neighbour Id tell him to stop being a baby and if he doesnt like the cats, then move.

The main problem is actually not him but it's the wife. He is a whipped boy and her nagging has put him enough over the edge to get violent(in case you missed my earlier post he threw a broom across my driveway and it came close to hitting Kiera). I always said to DH one day we will come home and the headline will be husband kills wife then turns gun on self. You know when the news interviews neighbors and they say "Oh we never knew they seemed like such a nice couple" I will be telling them I always knew it would end this way. LOL

Do you have to get rid of any of the cats?

Did the neighbour threaten to call animal control on you? Are you over the limit for number of pets?

No he didn't threaten to call them I don't even think he knows the laws. Yes I am over the limit, it's 2. However as with all bylaws in Montreal North they are only really enforced if there is a complaint. I am taking the high road and doing the right thing. If it makes him feel bad good, if it doesn't then fine. However there are many violations on his property and I have never said anything mostly because I knew I was also in violation with 4 cats, but this will no longer be the case. By the way this all started 2 weeks ago when I asked him to move his temporary carport to the legal limit that it has to be from my property line. This will tell you a lot about what kind of people I am dealing with. His snow will all fall into my driveway when it snows and he has not mentioned whether he will be cleaning it out. I am in contact with my lawyer to find out what the procedure is for this.

It may seem cruel to you guys that I can just get rid of 2 cats like this but I don't need the added stress of wondering whether my gang are peeing or pooing in his garden and is he trying to kill or poison them. The 2 I am keeping don't really go there. If you knew my situation you would understand I have enough to deal with at home. Sometimes things have to give a little.
