Good shopping and you can't beat the price and bonus no tax!!! I wish we had that here instead it seems like yard sales is our alternative. We go alley shopping occasionally for gardening pots it can be rewarding.

I was walking to the park with my kids earlier this week when I noticed some Pampers boxes on the side of the road. I wanted the UPCs for a fellow SCer. So, I looked at the house and noticed the front door was open. I decided to knock on the door and explain myself just so the owner wouldn't think I was weird if he looked outside. It turns out that my neighbour is a police man! He said that technically, I could have taken the boxes without asking because they were at the curb but he was happy I introduced myself. I'm so glad I did too - what a nice guy! Also, it doesn't hurt to know someone in law enforcement is living in my neighbourhood!

Way to go, we also have those days here in Guelph, we had one not that long ago. We have put things out and they are gone with hours. And i am proud to say that all our furniture is free, off of freecycle or kijiji. Gotta love it. Good for you.

omg you just reminded me, there was the cutest flower cart with a little horse pulling it up the street at the curb and I meant to go back and see if it was still there when I got back from my walmart trip yesterday,I'm sure it's gone by now, but I'm taking doggie for a walk right now..... I put stuff at the road all the time and it gets picked up pretty quick and I got a great 9 drawer dresser 2 doors down from me last year. My daughter doesn't mind curb shopping with me lol but my son says "MOM STOP DOING THAT" THAT'S GROSS!!!! lol
